Congrats to Turkey for getting a medal here, and beating the USA to get it. They're a really good basketball nation, and it would be great to see them become a world power in the future, they'd bring an extra flavor and dynamic to world bball.
turkey is a world power...they have like the top 3 bball league outside NBA.
there were more people in the third place game than in the finals. there's always been a lot of people going to USA matches. And it's just to watch them lose. Well done France and Turkey. Takes a lot of guts to do what Turkey did.

Genç milli takım bazında bu dereceleri alıyoruz almasına ama iş a milli takıma gelince bu gençler birden kayboluyor maalesef.
Burada kulüplere iş düşüyor. Bu gençlere kadrolarda süre vermeleri ve düzenli gelişminlerine katkı sağlamaları lazım. Takımlarımız avrupa liglerinde iyi işler yapıyor ama yüzde 90 yabancı oyuncularla. NBA'e gidenler gelişiyor kalanlar standart lig topçusu oluyor. Bu düzenin değişmesi lazım.
Dikkatinizi çekmedi mi ama usa oyunculari normal nba oyuncularina gore henuz çelimsizler buna karsilik turk oyuncular ortalama türk ligi oyunculari fiziginde. Anlatmak istedigim, nba nba e cikan oyuncusuna fiziksel anlamda cok yatirim yapiyor bu bariz, belki de bu tur bir eksikligimiz vardir.

Abilerin yapamadığını küçükler yaptı, helal olsun! Büyüklerde rakibi gözümüzde büyütmeyip ve ikinci yarıda sert ve kararlı oynasaydık belki de kaçırılan bir dünya şampiyonluğumuz var!
Yetenekli gençlerimiz var abd çok sert oynadı erken faul doldurdu. Dünya bizi tebrik ediyor. 😮😢 Tan yıldızoglu ve Berke özellikle iyiydi. Hepsi takımlarında daha fazla süre bulur umarım genelde yabancılar kesiyormuş.

u19 da her zaman başarılıyız ama takımlarda genç oyunculara yeterince süre verilmiyor. ligde başa oynayan takımların hepsi avrupa da falan ilk 5 yabancı
Ergin ataman gibiler sağolsun. Yabancıların yaptığı hatalara defalarca göz yumuyorlar ama türkler bir hata yapsa bench.

@@cagan3829 Asıl şans bulacakları yer Efes ve Fenerbahçe. Değilse zaten bir manası yok. Micic air ball atarken, yüz defa hatlaı pas yaparken türk olsa benchteydi bir daha da oyuna girmezdi. Hata yapmadan kimse gelişemez, sivasta, antepte bilmem nerede hele hiç gelişemezler.

Bırakın artık şu derece bu derece işlerini turnuva başlarken neler söylendi turnuva sırasında neler söylendi bu çocuklara, bu denli kötü kendi çocuğunu sevmeyen, kendisinden daha iyi olmasını istemeyen düşünce yapısına sahip toplumu değiştirmedikçe zaten podyumlar da daha değersiz kalacaktır. After watching the opening game, I knew that this USA team would not be playing in the finals. No motivation there for a 3rd place finish either......Just my observation......

I agree that they couldn't care less about the bronze medal. But my question is why did you decide that after the opening game USA team would not be playing in the finals? They beat Madagascar 134-67. The only game they struggled in the group stage was against Slovenia where they could have easily lost hadn't Slovenia choked in the last quarter. This was the second game. What made you think that USA is not good enough by beating Madagascar 134-67?

Drake Powell is somewhere in a gym improving his game more while his almost U-19 teammates continued their losing ways. Powell would have been an asset to that team. All teams need that type of player who does whatever it takes to win and doesn't concern himself with impressing scouts and producing stats.
Yep....this is the problem with USA basketball these days.....politics, corruption and incompetence......whereas other countries seemingly are getting their best players and the team dynamics correct........I gotta say, as I watched the highlights or lowlights depending upon how you want to look at it and its hard to imagine the USA doesn't have more talent in this age group than this........no offense to these players as they are fine athletes, but its sad to think this is the best we have to offer at this stage........
I don't like this AAU culture USA basketball has. There's no teamwork, just iso and individual play.

I think the AAU culture of American high school basketball puts it at a disadvantage in tournaments like these as the better teams win over the better talent. These teams play true team basketball where the US plays a lot of ISO ball which doesn't bold well in FIBA style basketball.

When the United States put a FIBA player in the World Cup and in the Olympics, they weren't winning anything anymore, so they had to put the professionals of the NBA to compete in the World Olympics, then the gain started

US was handicapping itself by putting in college players in the past, going against international professionals. Maybe they can put an age limit like Olympic Soccer, but you would still get professional players on any team.

Keep in mind, prior to the NBA players the USA use to only send their better collegiate players ....you know 20 year olds to play against other countries grown men of 25 to 30 years old who, although weren't professional, were taken care of by their countries and only trained and played basketball.....so, of course, eventually, these countries were able to beat the USA "kids" against their adults.....so that is why the USA starting sending their NBA players as that evened up the age difference.....now, to be fair, the talent difference between countries has become more even and even US NBA player international teams have their hands full competing these days........and given this poor showing at the 19U FIBA might be a preview of what is to come for USA basketball.....the NBA might well find its rosters filled with mostly players from other countries and less and less from the USA....

@@mericsevinc7750 they lost twice to Spain in the U18 Euro last year. Same generation. Yesterday the Spanish big guys (Almansa and Baba Miller) were a bit too fast for the Turkish big guys. The difference in rebounds was brutal (50 to 25 or something like that.
