Dan, at 1:16, your black king is placed on the wrong square. He should be on the square the queen is in, E8, rather than the square he is in, D8. The white king is also placed wrongly. It should be swapped with the white queen.

As a person that learns how to play chinese chess first, I call the castle a car. Also I just learned that it's called a Castle.

Chinese chess is about the same, except u move on LINES, jump across rivers, jump over one piece to eat another piece and have a confined king that can't step out of their kingdom and have pawns that can go in all directions after they cross the river.

You misplaced the queen and the king, white king's place is on E1, which is a black square and black king's place is on E8 which is a white square. Similar with queens.

The board was set up incorrectly. The Queen should start on the same colored square as its color. AKA White queen on light square, Black queen on dark square.

If black squares refer to black, and red squares refer to red, your king and your queen are in the wrong position. The queen should be placed on the same colour square as your side/king
