Avoid the sprawl Hobart. Build nice dense European style towns.

Or Japanese mixed zoning style. Keeps the home prices down. That and other factors.
Personally, I think the govt should run a home construction company as well to force other construction companies to build more to drive the costs down. Homes should be $200k total, not $1m+
Japan has built over 1 million homes every year.

@@user-nf9xc7ww7m that’s the dumbest idea ever. It would have the complete opposite affect and drive prices up. Not to mention the massive debt that would incur on the public sector. Housing prices are high because of artificial demand and inflation.

Hobart and surrounds should have a train built for commuters, less cars on the road, less traffic at peak hour

Can't agree. Any direction from Hobart is better than Kingston, where you can connect 10s of suburbs instead of 2.

Only 40 affordable housing units 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. This is one of the problems. Is this the respect we want to show our elders and children entering adult life 🤷‍♀️

Don't forget about "those poor" corporate "vested" interests, and senior management "desperately trying to survive" on sometimes "as little as only a hundred times" the minimum wage... Tirelessly helping some of our "beloved political creatures", accumulate a discreet, worthwhile offshore financial nest egg, in return for the odd favour... How very noble and altruistic... And where are the ethnic gangs, sorry my mistake, I meant new Australian community fellowship organisations, or the mosques where "fundamentalist jihadist cultural programs" can be state sponsored ?... Concerning "Tasmanian police corruption and brutality", there doesn't appear to be too many blatantly obvious contenders for the "Australian Police, National Shitfuckery Award's Ceremony" yet... Try contacting the NSW police, they are very experienced and are the current gold medalists Australia wide, may as well learn from the "worst"... Didn't notice any "coconut palms, banana or sugar cane plantations" being bulldozed for those very profitable, new primo price sub divisions down there in Tasmania... So much for global warming huh... I reckon I'll simply stay here in Queensland, where the destitute and or homeless can at least find some shelter under a palm.or mango tree...

It said that he was an aboriginal leader. How is he and his tribe not getting communal property rent and property tax free? Natives especially should not be homeless.
