- Well this came about when i was looking for old music from games of my childhood. I kept coming across other people's OSTs of this games music... and i found it rather strange for some reason that it just didn't sound right to how i remembered it. So i started digging through the game files and found the original Midi files and converted them into a more common format. Here to the world is the way i remember this OST! The way i remember hearing it sound!
This video was uploaded ad free. The original creators of the game can freely take claim if they wish however i hope that they keep it up. I don't care if its monetized by them or not. The world needs to hear such good music!

I don't know how I got it when I was a child, but the game found itself even to Finland.

This game was my first introduction to PC gaming! When I was 5 or 6, I would restart the game over and over again to hear track 10 (32:30) in the first campaign mission.

Dude same, i was about 6 as well. It was featured on a demo disc with about 50 other games and this was the gem hidden there. I couldn't read very well yet so it was completely trial and error for me to learn it

Same age, maybe 6 or 7, Maybe not my first vidya but my first strategic one, that would introduce me into other strategy games as American Conquest, Imperium.... and then some RPGs and shoothers like Gothic or Battlefield Vietnam... I am feeling so nostalgic right now....

Back in 2004 I used to like it as a background music when I used to play Tzar sitting in a small village in India,
and now in 2022 I have it on loop in the background when I am coding for a big tech company sitting in Silicon Valley.

prawda 2023, fan tej gry się zgłasza, jak słucham tego soundtracku przypominaja mi się piękne stare czasy kiedy mój brachol zainstalował mi to na komputerze i dziękuje mu za to, nigdy tego świetnego RTSa jak i samej gry nie zapomne. Pozdro!

I remember when it first came out here in Bulgaria - it was an epochal and historical moment. The first bulgarian 2D strategy and it was absolutely on par and even more innovative than AoE! 100% bulgarian made, and with amazing features and soundtrack. Loving it to this day. An absolute classic which gave way to solidifying Bulgaria on the world map of game development especially of 2D and strategy games - Celtic Kings, Tropico and many other followed. Note - some of the tracks are actually based on factual bulgarian songs composed in the 19th century, based on medieval events in late medieval Bulgaria

Man How could this game be so underrated? for me this game is the best RTS ever
I randomly remembered this game a couple of days ago and searched for the OST. And now I have listened to the OST like 3 days in a row and can't stop listening to it.
This game it's wonderful: the ambientation, the OST, the campaigns...
When I was kid, I loved this game for the campaigns, because as a child, I was obsessed with the Excalibur and the King Arthur and this game was the only game with a campaign about that.
I freaked out when I saw that this game had a campaign about that.
Also I think Stronghold Legends has a King Arthur campaign, but this game was one of the first RTS games I have played.
This music is incredibly beautiful, which makes me understand the love they put into a game as fun and fantastic as Tzared
20 years later and these are still the tunes I hum and whistle. This is a really good soundtrack, there's some honestly catchy parts.

Honestly imo one of the best game soundtracks ever. Oddly nostalgic and fantastical.
It's such a MASSIVE shame the modern steam/gog version of this game *only* has the song at 0:00 - 3:44 on loop throughout the entire game. I mean it's a great song, but it gets tiresome after hearing the same song on repeat for weeks on end. Plus the other songs are equally as good if not better.
Playing this on old hardware, all the songs in here shuffles and it's a huge reason why I like playing this more on my Win98.
i liked goding random units and sending them into battle and check on them a half hour later to see how strong they lvled

I am from Bulgaria. The game is also from a Bulgarian studio. Also the songs are Bulgarian ( all of them in midi) and I still can't find the originals. I know they are old patriotic Bulgarian songs. My grandma used to sing them to me.

I read an interview featuring the creator of this game, i didn't know it was Bulgarian or that this was the first game ever published from Bulgaria. Ive loved this game since i was 6 years old
Track 9 is based on "Otkoga se e, mila moya mayno lyo, zora zazorila" - a Revival era patriotic song about the last Bulgarian tsar's fight with the Ottomans. The other tracks don't ring any bell for me though.
Btw, it's interesting that this is the first game of Haemimont Games and it has this amazing soundtrack. Then Vesso Handzhiev split off and created Black Sea Studios, whose first game Knights of Honor also had an amazing soundtrack. Both of them being in my personal Top 10 game OSTs.

Me levantaba a las 8 50 y mientras se calentaba la leche encendía el ordenador. Jugaba hasta que mi amigo picaba en el portero. No me daba tiempo a hacer nada, claro, pero tenía un vicio... Os hablo más o menos del año 2004. Ya hace casi 15 años de aquello.

A mí me importa bro. Este fue el primer juego que jugué online. Recuerdo cómo conectaba el cable telefónico a mi ordenador Pentium 4 (año 2003). La conexión era pésima, pero no este fantástico soundtrack.
