I've been to numerous ATL gigs and they have always delivered. They sound better than they do on the records. They're one of those rare musicians that put on a hell of a good show for their fans. Alex Gaskarth deserves more praise for his singing ability. :)

He was sick and had a sore throat, look up any other concerts and he sings perfectly fine, ATL is one of the best live bands in terms of sounding like their album versions.

people saying that it's auto tuned and all that shit, it's clearly not, and that jack doesn't play the guitar, are you guys fucking blind or something? he plays it just not at all times bc obviously there are other people in the background who plays guitar too just to make it sound more like the studio recorded version, that's exactly the same as when people have background singers, there's literally no difference except they use guitars instead of voices.
Friend was just doing photos for them. They don't play there instruments. The people in the back do it all. They don't have anything on. As for auto tune, they have pedals that do natural live tuning. Which just about all the acts like this usually use.

Jack can play guitar perfectly fine he just likes having fun and jumping around if you watch his hands when he has the guitar he is playing all the right chords and strumming fine

as you get deeper into your 20's your voice continues to change and settle. It seems like Alex is figuring out his voice once again. He still sounds great which is probably why no one is commenting on the slight change in tone.
possible unpopular opinion (???) but i really like alex's new voice, dang. it's so husky and sexy, while still retaining that riff-y flexibility that made his younger voice so distinctive. plus, you have to admit that it'd be pretty ridiculous for him to still sound the same after all this time.

I love how people are complaining about jack but no one pointed out how at one point during this zack didn't have his bass, either
they have some of the crew like flyzik behind the band playing because there are probably already more tracks in the song than the four of them can play as it is
plus, what's wrong with handing off a guitar to someone to play for a little bit if you get to jump around and perform an incredible show? all time low puts on a show, and it's entertaining

If you listen to the instrumental of Weightless you'll hear at least 5 or more layers of guitar riffs and all that. Their new backup guitarsist plays most of the lead guitar parts and Jack just plays the Rhythm parts with Alex sometimes. And they said in one of their interviews that Jack makes so many mistakes so to have a better version they'll turn down Jack's guitar so you don't hear dissonances or whatever. I've heard him play acoustic live and he plays alright.

actually he plays the guitar, calm down, if you're watching the old live videos you can see him also jumping round like a maniac and he is still playing the guitar! I play the guitar for 6 years now and I know how hard it is to play and bring a performance but Jack does both, he is a insane guitarist!!!

Can I just put this auto tuned thing to rest. Because they have that drum machine sound at the start, and some special fx towards the end, they would have had to use a backing track, which is just those bits. But they do have extra guitarists to play the parts they didn't. For example, at the start, jack was the only one playing guitar, but there was two guitar parts. That was the other guitarist. But in the verse where neither jack nor Alex was playing, there was only one guitar part, and that was the other guitarist. Watch their show at Reading Festival and you'll see the other guitarist. Also, no auto-tune on the voice, there were bits where he hit the wrong notes, auto-tune doesn't do that.

Alex's voice is amazing live, why does he use autotune in the studio? I spent so long not liking this band because autotune hurts my ears and I could hear it so easily in their recordings, but he is amazing live
They do it for the effect
All bands and artists use some form of auto tune/pitch correction in the studio. Its to perfect their voice.

its not really auto tuned there are some parts jack or alex didn't play because they were fooling around but there are guitarists(at the back) filling in the parts that they don't play. If you look closely, you will see them
For live shows that are being recorded, they record their instruments and the sound from the microphone so you can hear the band play. o_o

Their backup guitarist Vinny plays along with Jack's parts so Jack can focus on playing around on stage and with the crowd, he said so himself. Doesn't mean he can't play guitar.
Obviously jack is a great guitarist if he wasnt he wouldnt be in a band like all time low.

For the life of the band... Jack has only ever played the easiest melodies and octave notes (which Alex writes). The fact the 3rd guitarist and Alex play everything does say something. I watch him very closely when they play and in videos... he's almost always drowned out in the mix and sometimes I don't even know if his volume is up, and they don't even trust him to have his mic on EVER... his role in the band is almost strictly for marketing, truly. Herpes jokes sell apparently.
