Since I couldn't find nice tea dresses or even skirts that weren't rediculously priced, I started sewing again. Took me awhile to find nice patterns but I have so now to make pretty things to wear. I completely agree with you and the way people dress here. I take the time to dress nicely and even in good fitting jeans and a blouse, people ask me why I'm dressed up! And that's not even being dressed up to me. I've always cared about the way I dress, but going to Paris really changed my whole outlook on it again for the better. We all need to dress better and stop being so lazy!
Somewhere we lost the desire to be feminine. You can be a secure person and still be feminine. I'm not knocking anyone who wishes to dress in their own style, just that I prefer this softer look for me. Flowers, lace, and soft fabrics make me feel good. It would be nice to have this again in the USA without a comment being made about looking strange! Just, "Hey, you look nice!"

My sentiments exactly! I am 63. My husband and I live in the southern U.S. and have a 1936 brick bungalow that we have been restoring and absolutely love. I can't think of any furniture that is brand new. Everything has been found by the side of the road, given to us, or purchased "second-hand." I try to keep true to the era of the house - 1920's to 1940's. I only recently found you and have been enjoying watching not only your new content, but the old as well. Blessings! ❤️

I enjoyed learning these things about you. You're a smart young lady. What pleases me the most to hear was a young person who was smart enough to want, and buy, their own home. I felt the same way when I was young, but now, all the young people I meet say "I'd never buy a house! Then I have to deal with things! Renting is best, then the landlord has the responsibility not me!" And some that say this are in their 30's. I guess they want to avoid growing up! You're so lucky you've got a headgehog in the garden! I've always loved them since I was little and read Alice in Wonderland! I can't imagine having one in my own garden! Love watching your videos you've given me the push to get going again with a paintbrush and sometimes even a drill. Self reliant & focused. You're like a much younger me I thought I'd lost. I began painting furniture in the 90s when hardly anyone did especially 'up north' and I'd haul it to independent shops miles away to sell and even drag stuff into crafts fairs when everyone else was selling pretty jewellery or handmade cards 😁 I shan't be doing that again but there's some furniture in the shed that's getting a makeover and I'm thoroughly enjoying the transformations. You've inspired me with my home Decore. We have a slightly different style although I am absolutely in love with your style. Until I found your channel I was always under the thought that if I can't buy what I want I can't have it. Now if I know what I want but it's the wrong colour I paint it. If I see something that's supposed to be used as one thing but I think it would be perfect as something else I change it. Or find something i love but its really expensive i try and look to see if i can make it cheaper myself first. It gives a real sense of achievement and you know when you've made something yourself not everyone's going to have it. For the first time in ages I actually love what I have rather than feeling like I'm stuck with something that I didn't really want because I couldn't find the things I really wanted and that is down to you. I admire you for achieving your dreams of owning your own home at such a young age, because in this day and age it's quite hard for the younger generation to buy due to the times we live in. I always believe anything is possible and that is mainly due to my daughter who is 22 and is a you tuber and makes a successful living from it, and works for herself. I'm 22 now and people think I'm like between 14-18 depending on the person haha! Slightly embarrassing so I feel your pain but we do have good genes at least and be happy for it when we are older ha :-) I love seeing all your projects & you're very inspiring. You appear to be very well together, laid back and level headed but thought it was quite interesting when you said you suffer with anxiety as you wouldn't be able to tell so thought it was very brave to share that about you too. I've just found u today n I too bought my own flat at 26yrs old, I m now 45. My mom has just passed last 2wks and I m feeling down to the point of falling sick intermittently. I enjoyed learning these things about you. You're a smart young lady. What pleases me the most to hear was a young person who was smart enough to want, and buy, their own home. I felt the same way when I was young, but now, all the young people I meet say "I'd never buy a house! Then I have to deal with things! Renting is best, then the landlord has the responsibility not me!" And some that say this are in their 30's. I guess they want to avoid growing up! You're so lucky you've got a headgehog in the garden! I've always loved them since I was little and read Alice in Wonderland! I can't imagine having one in my own garden! I'm so glad I came across your vids the other day, so many things you like, I like, and I love watching your projects and decorating. Watching one of your vids is a great way to start the day with a smile, please keep posting!

Love watching your videos you've given me the push to get going again with a paintbrush and sometimes even a drill. Self reliant & focused. You're like a much younger me I thought I'd lost.
I began painting furniture in the 90s when hardly anyone did especially 'up north' and I'd haul it to independent shops miles away to sell and even drag stuff into crafts fairs when everyone else was selling pretty jewellery or handmade cards 😁 I shan't be doing that again but there's some furniture in the shed that's getting a makeover and I'm thoroughly enjoying the transformations. You have a timeless style that's true to you. Looking forward to seeing what your next project is 🤗

I’ve been watching since you started . You got me decorating the shabby chic decor . I lost my daughter at the age of 27 in 2017 . You inspired me to start back decorating my home . I wish my daughter could have been like you she was a drug addict for 15 years . I was in bad depression and you inspired me to get back to decorating and knew decor. I live the wheel you found I want to find me one . Just keep your spirit and your old soul and you will be just fine in this universe. ♥️
You've inspired me with my home Decore. We have a slightly different style although I am absolutely in love with your style. Until I found your channel I was always under the thought that if I can't buy what I want I can't have it. Now if I know what I want but it's the wrong colour I paint it. If I see something that's supposed to be used as one thing but I think it would be perfect as something else I change it. Or find something i love but its really expensive i try and look to see if i can make it cheaper myself first. It gives a real sense of achievement and you know when you've made something yourself not everyone's going to have it. For the first time in ages I actually love what I have rather than feeling like I'm stuck with something that I didn't really want because I couldn't find the things I really wanted and that is down to you. You are my inspiration. Thank you.

Well Catherine I've just discovered you a week ago, and I think your lovely. First of all like many people I thought you were a bit younger about 23 years old. I admire you for achieving your dreams of owning your own home at such a young age, because in this day and age it's quite hard for the younger generation to buy due to the times we live in. I always believe anything is possible and that is mainly due to my daughter who is 22 and is a you tuber and makes a successful living from it, and works for herself. I enjoy watching you, as you have a bubbly personality and I also love to upcycle furniture, it makes me happy. Keep up your great work, and well done 😘

My daughter was 25 and bought her first house in Florida in 2013 also.. It's not as beautiful as yours. She is still working on many things.. I'm proud of her.. I loved getting to know you more in this video :-) I'm also 4'11, have a young voice and people tell me I look much younger. I'm 22 now and people think I'm like between 14-18 depending on the person haha! Slightly embarrassing so I feel your pain but we do have good genes at least and be happy for it when we are older ha :-) I love seeing all your projects & you're very inspiring. You appear to be very well together, laid back and level headed but thought it was quite interesting when you said you suffer with anxiety as you wouldn't be able to tell so thought it was very brave to share that about you too. It's nice to learn a few new details about the people you follow on social media as it's more personal but of course only what you feel comfortable sharing :) Take care! Xx
