A truly beautiful and highly emotional voice. he gets under the skin, but even more than his talent, is his love for his wife Patricia and 4 children as well as grandchildren. He came from a very large family and they are all still close, His love of God is evident too. What a star and now caring for Patricia who has suffered with Alzheimer's for 10 years. God love and bless this lovely family always and may Patricia get back her memory. (With God all things are possible)

I have seen Engelbert in concert here in Fort Myers every time he is in town (which is just about every year) except last year when he had to cancel because he had a cold. I guess now that he is getting older (80) he has to watch his health and can't get too run-down. But the next time he will come to Fort Myers I will make darn sure I'll go see him. He is absolutely a favorite of mine!
My Father and Mother played His songs to us kids as we were little . Over the course of time I've actually sung nearly all of his songs with somewhat the same voice he has .

I listened to this song when I was a little kid (around 90s); I didn't know why radios were playing it on air at that time, but sure, there was this particular station that played this almost twice a week at breakfast time, and it stuck in my memory for quite some time. But as I grew up, I slowly forgot it. Recently, a great guy posted a video with this song as the soundtrack; it ignited something wonderful in me, all those memories of having breakfast while listening to this inundated me. Being a kid at that early years, I never thought of remember neither the song title nor the artist. So, having that nostalgia rush, I frantically asked the guy who posted the aforementioned video the title of that song. And here I am, still listening to it, while remembering my late grandma, late aunties and relatives with whom I had parted ways; oh what a beautiful moment that was, having pancakes by a sunflower Aunt Ima planted by her kitchen window.

I listened to this song when I was a little kid (around 90s); I didn't know why radios were playing it on air at that time, but sure, there was this particular station that played this almost twice a week at breakfast time, and it stuck in my memory for quite some time.
But as I grew up, I slowly forgot it. Recently, a great guy posted a video with this song as the soundtrack; it ignited something wonderful in me, all those memories of having breakfast while listening to this inundated me.
Being a kid at that early years, I never thought of remember neither the song title nor the artist. So, having that nostalgia rush, I frantically asked the guy who posted the aforementioned video the title of that song.
And here I am, still listening to it, while remembering my late grandma, late aunties and relatives with whom I had parted ways; oh what a beautiful moment that was, having pancakes by a sunflower Aunt Ima planted by her kitchen window.
