Today I just wanted to give you guys a general idea for how the software operates - In the next vid I'll do a FULL explanation for all the details, so hang tight for that tutorial :)
Cascadeur download link for anyone looking for it!
cascadeur.com/blog/general/cascadeurs-release-version-is-now-available
Thanks Royal Skies!!
Im hanging tight for the full explanation !! 🙂
Thank you so much! I hope you make a complete serie about Cascadeur!
And let me guess, under 2 minutes.
The program is great. It does not replace your job as animator, it speeds up the process filling the tedious in-between frames. You still need to know how to add keyframes properly otherwise the effect will look bad. And free version allows to work on animations up to 300 frames, more than enough for most general animations used for games like walk, run, reload, swing, etc.
well yea ai will never destroy anyones job as long as they adapt and use it to their advantage
Truly crazy how quickly you can through together a half decent looking animation!
I know right?? This is insane for anyone who's done it the old fashioned way lol
How dare those filthy AI software devs make the pipeline so easy! Don't they care at all about how many years animators spent figuring out how to animate the hard way? What are they doing with their bar lowering shenanigans? How could they be so inconsiderate. Now people will be able to animate projects without the need to hire more animators and they will be able to do it in a shorter time period.
Worked smoothly on UE4 as well, i just tested on male version... very nice thank you!
learnt alot in 1 min . this man is crazy good 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Brilliant)
The pronounciation of Cascadeur lul
My bad lol
Thank you, your tutorials are very helpful. I have a question: I create a rig for the mannequin in Blender for Unreal Engine, setting up a 3rd person view. If I make an animation in Cascadeur using the UE5 mannequin rig and import it into Unreal Engine as an FBX, will the animation apply directly to the character I've already set up for 3rd person view? If you have a tutorial on this, could you please suggest it?
How do you get the animation to hop like in the video without it being locked to the hips when you import it into Unreal?
bro made this thing look sooo ez
Hi guys maybe someone here has expirience, I know cascadur also has option for non biped Characters. But how is it for that. Lets say Animals, Monsters, Dragons and so on ?
"Cass-Cae-Dur!" 😂
For the love of God, I don't even know if I want you to pronounce it correctly, or continue saying it the way you do 💝😆🤣👍🏽
can you pleeease make a cascadeur to blender workflow video too?
guys im 2 hours in cascadeur just recreated every gta v animation going to do rdr2 now should take about 3 hours
This seems like the kind of program people should have been able to do years ago, just with a lot more work. I'm not sure what the AI needs to do vs just better simulation of the physics?
And yeah, every time you said it, I was thinking "I've been pronouncing it like it's french this whole time." :-)
Can you do a tutorial on animating custom quadruped models in this program? Like edited rigify models, completely custom rigs. There’s absolutely no tutorials for that.
Awesome!! Do you know if I can use a MetaHuman to animate??
Video length 1:30
Time it will take to actually do it: 1:30 (not including time to open Unreal💀)
Opening Unreal: *15 minutes later....*
the best tutorials in the business
Have you had any luck with exporting files from UE5 to Cascadeur? The animation is always imported onto the character with 90 degrees rotation on X in world space. Even when I fix it in Maya first.
is it that easy wtf
super quick and to the point, just as i like it!
can you please make a video on jumping/walkcycles? i have the problem that my character shoots to the sky when i try to make a jumping animation
Dang thats pretty huge!
is it possible to make an quick tutorial for importing into Blender?
Thank you for the video! Cascadeur is amazing but I wish a lot of these programs had the same controls for navigation etc, or at least have option to pick Maya, C4D, Blender, Unreal defaults etc. All the shortcuts are different and if you're like me, we use a LOT of different DCC and software and be nice to have controls we can use for them all.
Sir, Today I have tried poser pro software ... It does the exact same thing except automatic motion capture... Please make a tutorial on poser pro software soon
My AutoPhysics character has super powers!! For some reason he jumps twice as high as my original character? How do I calm him down?
Glad to see you covering this. I've looked at Cascadeur a bit and seen examples with other simple physics objects added. A character being struck with a projectile and reacting accordingly via physics sim for example. I'd also be interested in how to, if possible, have a character grab something with their hands for a grab and climb up ledge animation or similar. Looking forward to more on this.
After seeing this demonstration, I think I'm partially convinced that this should be added to Blender (Or a fork of Blender) as a toggleable option.
True
Can you plz make a video on how to make car enter animation with cascadeur
Can you make a video for blender + Cascadeur ...
Is it possible to do the opposite? Taking an animation FROM unreal engine and edit in cascadeur?
Export the animation to fbx then import it to casceduer or just use control rig + sequencer essentially the interpolation is all your after and control rig can do just about as good of a job without leaving ue5 editor
thanks.....possibly the BEST tutorial on cascadeur :)
I would love to see how to transfer or retarget Cascadeur animations into a blender rig
Thank you! I’ve been wanting to dive into cascadeur for a while now but it seemed a bit daunting.
Any cascadeur video you upload, will be an automatic like :)
Is it compatible with Metahuman rigg?
Yes
Thanks for this, I was trying to link these things together and with the rigging tools in Unreal I was wondering if I could combine these two directly.
for blender?
Holy shit…
Something new to learn... Makes me wonder why I bothered to learn how to manually animate and rig in blender... Can it generate root motion animations? And as always Thanks a Bunch for the impeccable as always content!!! stellar!!
I wish I could open this program on my Mac!
oh yeah i wanted to ask if root motion possible with Cascadeur ,and if not can you make a tutorial for it
This is absolute amazing and I have to have this! I been looking for something to help me with my animations and what not this would do nicely for that. thank you for showing us this.
By far the best editing software i know of, true game changer
I am so glad AI is advancing as it is.
it is subscription only or there is an demo version?
The free version is available too, the only major limitation I've noticed is you can only export animations that are 300 frames or shorter -
@@TheRoyalSkies really? Thank you! I Will try it using your tutorial so i can retarget to metahuman
AI is such an amazing tool. It’s not replacing anything, it’s amplifying it. The people of tomorrow will look back in complete awe at how we were able to create something so powerful yet simple to use. Wild times to be a creative!
I can def see some lazy and cheap corporate and influencer devs just using default anims to save on unreal store anims for their sludge quick buck games.
If it works then why not.
They already do that with mixamo/unreal/unity/ turbosquid models. You just probably have never noticed
Almost all indie unity and unreal games are a bunch of 5 dollar assets slapped together with a crappy UI with “realistic graphics” cranked up 100% so your pc fries.
