I was concerned that it would not be powerful enough because I have several older iPads that are slow and cannot update to the latest software. But this 10th Gen has the speed and power. I do not use it for video editing, so having an M2 processor is not necessary for me. This iPad model has an A14 processor. So far so good. Glad I bought it. It helps having a larger screen compared to my Apple phone.
If you still don’t want to get a matte screen protector, but find the writing experience uncomfortable. You could try a tip cover for the Apple Pencil as it would increase the friction when writing to get more of the experience. You don’t get the sound though.
I was thinking of saving money to not get the new iPad but then this vid popped up taunting me. Now I have it back in my cart again 😂 temptation is REAL

I have the same screen protector for my iPad Air 4, blue as well. The alignment frame snaps into place around the iPad to make sure it's secure and applying the screen protector made easy. I thought the same that it did not fit but it does.

I use my iPad to write a lot of notes, so if that’s what you’ll be doing a lot of on yours I would say go matte.

The alignment frame fits, you just need to press it down a little bit. The alignment frame fits fine and I got mine installed correctly.
