Its just a matter of practice bro and when the sessions are not on a regular basis then skills get rusty! Seems like you have better luck finding partner than I do because it may be a month or more before I can find a person to roll with! The last session I had was with a guy that was a high school senior who asked me if I was up to wrestle a bit but he only weighed 170 against my 218 so I was a little hesitant because I wouldnt want to hurt someone. I had him in the double leg gaining control and I looked down and his face was almost purple yet he was still fighting against me but I rolled off of him just to be safe. He admitted that he was sucking wind but was ok and that is what he wanted and the reason that he wanted to go with me because he wanted to practice fighting out of those situations with a bigger person and assured me that he would tap before I hurt him or he passed out so we continued the session. Since most schools are out now for Christmas break hopefully I can get up with him again in the next weeks because he said that he is up for a session any time and dont want me to go easy on him whenever we go!

Very true man, It's been a while since I've consistently trained at a gym or worked with a coach so I'm lucky to find some partners. I have a similar situation for you as well. Back in school my friend who weighs 180 would tell me the same, Not to hold back and try as hard as I could. Having a partner like that is so important because not only can you just get a roll, you can also go over things that need to be drilled or improve mistakes.

@@JP1180t Yeah thats the attitude that this kid has! I figured when I rolled off of him that was it and he wouldnt want anymore but instead he was a little upset because I got off him! He admitted that he had only been rolling with kids from school from around 140 pounds up to his size and no more than 180 and those weights were not a problem so he had been a little slack on his core training and realized that he was going to have to be more consistent with his core training if he was going to have 220 pounds riding on his abs so that he could keep his wind! He said still do not hold back on him because he cant learn, get stronger and tougher, and build endurance with someone heavier than him if I hold back. He promised that next session he wanted me to get the same move on him and that the outcome would be different because I had just taught him that he cant slack on the core training and it was a wake up call for him if he was going to train with someone over 200 pounds! His attitude is better than some guys my weight and above that I have rolled with in the past so hope I can get up with him in the next couple of weeks!
