Everyone was talking about their government positions (particularly Luke and Holly about Robert) and Lesley told Rick to bite his tongue. He said, "why don't you do it?" and then Les said "later". to this day one of my most favorite scenes!
Laura(GF) and Luke(TG) connect. They just do. It's as if once their eyes lock they can't look away. Like a magnet they are drawn to each other and it's as if they can't not connect.
I love this time period where they are together married and happy with each other.No bickering like when they were first married just happy to be together.They do have to deal with the stupid mayor stuff, but they deal with it together!
Luke doesn't have the stomach to hurt some people. It's the rich he has no issue doing it too, as well as the cruel. But politicians have to be able to do it to anyone.

You must be kidding...after Laura left in '83,Luke and TG was similar to what he is today...lost, vacant and without passion. Every time she has returned, the bond and chemistry jumps off the screen. As TG said in a joint interview, he fed off of GF( and she replied they fed off of each other and that's why it worked) and that's obvious before and in '83 and beyond. Even in 2013, their last scene together validated the connection. He thanked her for "everything".Soul mates and their passion are forever. You tube is overflowing with videos memorializing the LnL passion through the years.

@@Zeddiebgirl13 It is so sweet the way these two love and respect each other. I watched a clip of an awards show and they were presenting an award and Genie holds out her had for Tony to take. They held hands as they walked up to the podium and once there Tony wrapped his arm around Genie. Granted they have other spouses, but their spouses even understand the connection Tony and Genie share. Genie's husband Jonathan is good friends with Tony and Tony and his husband have invited them to come to Amsterdam and spend time with them.

They aren't quite as into the sexual thing but they are still very passionate about each other. If you read the TG quotes during these time and even into later years he said that he adores Genie. He speaks of how he feels about her and their acting relationship. Laura has grown up in these scenes. She has been through a lot. Her love is a more mature love now. She doesn't look adoringly at him like she used to but she looks at him with much love in her eyes.

This predates a terrible tragedy in Florida.
Laura just doesn't have that special look in her eyes anymore when she is with Luke. Things were definitely changing on and off screen!!!
