Ang sarap ng kwentuhan. Mahilig pala magbasa si Coach Duckey, no wonder he has a wide range of vocabulary! Ako rin when i read or saw a good line either sa book or sa movie or just about anywhere na maganda, sometimes quotes, ang ginagawa ko sinusulat ko talaga back then, ngayon screenshot na hahahaha. Nice podcast, light and informative din.
Duckey's vocab is insane, out of this world. Individual setting, diamond in the rough, mental fortitude, moneyball, up on cloud nine, etc. Haha. Tapos the way he starts a statement, may mga ginagamit siya lagi, like from the get-go, to some extent, etc. Halatang matalino eh. Edit: Just because I have listed those words doesn't mean I can't comprehend their meanings! Yes, some of those are fairly ordinary, but I am just impressed at Duckey, being an esports coach, using terminologies which are not commonly thought of by most coaches in casual conversations and interviews. Unsurprisingly, he is actually smart, because as I have researched, he is a registered nurse and he even passed the entrance exams for BS Biology at the University of Sto Tomas which was supposed to be his pre-med course. He aspired to become a doctor, unfortunately it didn't happen. On top of that, he even worked at a call center and other high-paying corporate jobs. Mind-blowing! So that means, he speaks English not to sound smart, the guy is actually smart.
That's what happens when you go abroad. Speaking Filipino is only useful in the Philippines. English is understood almost anywhere. "from the get-go" isn't even impressive. I mean, it shouldn't be something you hear and think "Oh shit, he's smart". I find it to be very common.
I think this is not just about travelling abroad. There are ways to broaden your vocabulary such as watching foreign series or movies instead of watching god awful teleseryes here. By reading books with dictionary in hand is another way too
Yung command of languange niya maganda. Flow of ideas, choice of words, etc. Magaling siya magcommunicate probably dahil mahilig sya magbasa. Doon naman lalawak vocabulary mo.
I like this topic. As an IT Manager, I can relate to their leadership style, the way they manage their own teams and how they handle individual differences and attitude (and also, individual strengths and weaknesses). Thanks, Sir Wolf. Hats off to you!
Nagagalingan talaga ako sa mga insights ni Duckey dito esp. sa difference between Philippines and Indonesia in terms of ML Esports. He has a point and as pheww said when asked why has he chosen duckey as the coach for an all star team is because he is direct to the point. Napakaprofound talaga ng utak nya which is why you could really say that he is vital to AP Bren's successes recently.
I am from Indonesia seeing this two coach achievment wise is already Strongest in MLBB, Seeing the podcast give me more insight to their brilliant mind (eventho only slighly secret from the iceberg, probably only their player can see more of their idea). Seeing how good they are in term of MLBB i already know why their team can be stronger than the team from all other region
i can listen to coach duckey and coach yeb forever, lahat ng mga sinasabi nila may mga sense talaagaaaa props din kay wolf, ang galing nya bumato ng mga questions laging sapol sa gusto ko marinig. very informative 👏
Galing ng Pod episode na to, daming life lessons. You'll just have to translate their approach to what's applicable on your current setup.
San kapa makakakita na both coaches of the top 2 teams now is giving away these knowledge and ideas. Kudos Wolf
I so agree with them that Filipinos are hungry to win every tournaments because that’s where the biggest money they could get from playing pro. It motivates them to win since that’s where the money is, while for Indo even if they can’t win the tournament they would still get paid and it’s not a total loss for them. For Filipinos losing is not an option.
It's nice to know that their approaching to coaching and leadership is not centralized to just esports, but pretty much to any industry. People management is indeed a skill and an art at the same time. These guys know what they're doing and deserve the position and fame they have. 😊
One of the best and most insightful episodes. +Wolf Casts you should do a team interview would love to hear from AP Bren, Zane etc. Love the show keep it up!
Nice cut. Hahaha going to episode 2. In this episode it shows ung connection nio. Which is very entertaining. One of my favorite episode. Coach Yeb at Coach Ducky. Mga Kuya hahaha. You both are aging like a fine wine. Both giver and open minded. Excited for part 2
The two minds that rule the Land of Dawn, at least as of the current moment. Two legends in one video! Correction: There's actually THREE legends in this video!
it's like Wolf can read my mind. I was about to leave a comment under the video with Kairi, asking about an updated podcast with Coach Yeb (because the first one didn't hv english sub)! my next request would be Coach Duckey too! and what do we got? Both Coach Yeb and Duckey IN THE SAME VIDEO! Gooooooood damn Mr. Wolf is cooking! so I am just gonna hop on and hope for Coach Bonchan for the next video. you are amazing Wolf! keep it up
This reminds me of how Echo, coach their players. If underperformed, they replace it like what they did to yawi. That team has so much potential if they focus on building the chemistry.
That Blcklist's former identity of healing galing is what made them fail hadji as a roamer. Renejay is a blank slate that's why he had better chance to adjust, he also have something to prove. While Hadji, a certain roaming style was already instilled to him in M3. Where he does surprise initiation and sets. add to that the mage role who does surprise bursts and jungling experience of doing assassinations. It's the total opposite of healing roamers.
So nasaan na yung part 2!!! I just want to commend how good mag interview si Wolf like I really appreciate paano niya naisip or nacompose yung mga questions na yan and paano niya ito nailatag sa coaches wherein ma sasagot nila ito ng sakto sa punto ng tanong like talagang more than satisfied ka sa sagot ng coaches. I can say si Wolf and Joe Rogan ng MLBB!!!
What I understand sa sinabi ni Yeb na indo players are humble (which i think iba ang pagkakaintindi ni coach ducks 😅) in a way that they always say they will do their best but whatever happens happen, ginawa ko best ko kaya walang pagsisisi kahit talo while dito sa pinas ang mental fortitude is hindi ko lang gagalingan dapat manalo ako kasi ako ang magaling, no humbleness at all talagang inangkin mo na mas malakas ka sa kalaban kaya mas mataas ang mental fortitude mo not to give up habang sa indo pag sobrang lamang na ng kalaban, their mental would be at least we did our best ganun which is not enough to be a champion, sobrang kulang and the fact na may sahod pa din naman sila at malaki pa make it more understandable why their mental fortitude is mid or not enough to be name a champion, fyi thisnis before all imports were there kasi as you can see, iba na ang pag iisip ng onic id players (excluding kairi) and its bec of coach yeb
53:40 I think the Kdrama that coach talking about here is named 2521, IDK what episode and I guess its the scene where Heedo's dad giving advice to her while painting and he used the concept of ladder.
1:22:16 Yes, ranked solo queue and rank party queue should be a thing to MLBB. One time, I played seasonal MCL tournament and facing 5 man squad champions and I team - up with also 4 solo players. That was total blow out from the very beginning. I was so pissed facing players 5k points each while we are only about 600 to 1k points casual solo players 😂.

For example. Veewise, coach panda. So kng may makikita ka na macro plays inspired yan ng lol kasi almost the same game play lg meron silang dalawa.
So now we understand more why Bren and Onic are at the top.. and we know why medyo nagdip yung laro konti ng Onic nung GOTF since coach yeb isnt around most of the time recently (busy sa pagbubuntis ng asawa nya)
@@gracebl2162 may rumors na nasa Russia din si Coach Yeb but yes, Adi was the head coach/drafter para sa GOTF. Makikita mo talaga yung impact sa team kapag wala si Coach Yeb macro and drafting-wise
