My mom wanted to abandon my pot bellied pig, but I protested no. She was upset because he “tore up” our yard from all of his rooting. By the time she had texted me and told me she was dropping him off somewhere, I cried. I ran out of the door, and chased her car down while throwing rocks at the same time. When she finally stopped, I yelled at her that we committed taking care of him, and that he loves us. And that rooting is just natural. I said “if you were hated by doing something you were born to do, you would be really upset as well.” She drove us back home, and we still have my pet pig. :) but never abandon your pets. Even if you didn’t fully commit to taking care of them.
I have 3 cats. All adopted from streets. I love them more than my life. They made me so happy, and I do everything for them to be happy. I moved three times, and all of them go with me. This painfully reminded me of my own dog. Miniature Australian Shepherd, I adopted him when he was 3 years old. Though he was surrendered to a shelter instead of abandoned outside, we weren't told much about his previous living situation except that he was raised by an elderly couple who thought taking care of him was too much work. He has very intense separation anxiety now and always needs to have some kind of physical reassurance that I'm there with him, like he's terrified of being abandoned again. I can't help but picture all those weeks he spent alone in a shelter pen, discarded by the two people he loved more than anything. Of course I don't know the full situation of that elderly couple, but sometimes I can't help but resent them for doing something so callous to such a good boy...

I had a street dog for 8 years,when he was just 5 years he met with an accident & lost the ability to walk. Past 3 years I looked after him like a baby, I have to face many difficulties. But I never giveup, I looked after him till his last breath. I lost him before 2 months 💔😔. But after watching this video I feel so happy,though I have to face so may difficulties I was with him until the very end ❤
I understand when an owner must give up a pet (allergies, aggression to baby, finances), and if we get made at them, we are disrespectful and unreasonable.... But having to say goodbye to your pet with hopes someone else will love them (give to a new family or in some cases a shelter) is way different then abandoning/ dumping them.
I had a dog named Wags and my mom's ex dropped him off somewhere because he bit him. What makes it worse is that he was holding him by his neck, so I don't see why Wags wouldn't bite him. Also Wags wasn't even his dog, it was my dad's dog. My dad doesn't live with us anymore and we were supposed to care for Wags... This all happened around 6 years ago..

This was likely what the previous owners did to my cat. He was found alone, extremely underweight, sick, and filthy. As reference, you could cup your hands around the body of this adult cat and he was yellow with filth, while he is completely snow white in reality. Poor baby was so trusting to people and slept on our doorstep. We took him in and it took around 8 months of constant vet appointments to get him healthy.
It was both the owner and his lover that was cruel. The woman may have been the one that was hostile towards the dog, but the man was the one who threw the dog out and left him to die alone.

Okay so I know that no one cares but oh well I'll share it anyways. My current dog was in this situation. He was abused, abandoned and the runt. He has scars on him where he was abused. Then different people found him and didn't feed or water them so they were going to put him down but they put him on Craigslist for free. Luckily we found him and today's his 2 year anniversary:)) you don't leave a baby on the road so don't do it to your pets:))))
This reminds me of how my friend had found her dog ace as an abandoned puppy at a park. Poor little guy had a broken leg and was dangerously malnourished! But luckily my friend took him in and nursed him back to health.

Here is how I imagined it ended: The wife realizes that her baby needs protection and goes back to find the dog with the man, who realizes how bad the poor dog looked. They take him in again and take good care of him now, and as the dog and boy grow up they become best friends and inspererable buddies. The family gets a new puppy and soon has a baby girl. The little dog lives happily ever after with his owners and great feasts and beds!

I had a dog named Wags and my mom's ex dropped him off somewhere because he bit him. What makes it worse is that he was holding him by his neck, so I don't see why Wags wouldn't bite him. This was likely what the previous owners did to my cat. He was found alone, extremely underweight, sick, and filthy. As reference, you could cup your hands around the body of this adult cat and he was yellow with filth, while he is completely snow white in reality. Poor baby was so trusting to people and slept on our doorstep. We took him in and it took around 8 months of constant vet appointments to get him healthy.

It was both the owner and his lover that was cruel.

My current dog was in this situation. He was abused, abandoned and the runt. He has scars on him where he was abused. Then different people found him and didn't feed or water them so they were going to put him down but they put him on Craigslist for free. Luckily we found him and today's his 2 year anniversary:)) you don't leave a baby on the road so don't do it to your pets:))))

The wife realizes that her baby needs protection and goes back to find the dog with the man, who realizes how bad the poor dog looked. They take him in again and take good care of him now, and as the dog and boy grow up they become best friends and inspererable buddies. The family gets a new puppy and soon has a baby girl. The little dog lives happily ever after with his owners and great feasts and beds!

True like my mother bought a dog but as time goes by our dog is basically neglected and everytime I get mad for not letting our dog in the house I would be told it's just a dog even though she's a shih tzu a dog that is supposed to be in homes not outside, and I can't do anything about the situation I'm not that affectionate so I can't look over our dog and I don't know what to do anymore but I'm very busy with school and just mental health in general I try my best to brought this up to my parents but all they do is tell me they are too busy which infuriates me a lot like just re-home our dog and I hate it like everytime our dog gets close to my mother she doesn't want the dog near her at all she also expects me to take care of the dog but the things is I can't even look over our fish who all died one by one of even my plant so no don't expect anything from me. Anyways this is getting too long bottom line our dogs need a new home because my family has a lot of issues to deal with to take care of a dog.
