Bernie Taupin the Lyricist partner with Elton John wrote this for "Tiny Dancer" She was 18yrs old and was the seamstress for the band. She married a music man..Bernie Taupin ❤ When they divorced he wrote the song "Tonight" George Michael does a heart wrenching cover live..Worth checking out💔
The song is about the seamstress for the band, says it in the opening lyrics. Song was written by Bernie taupin. If I remember correctly it was a girlfriend of his.
Elton is 1 of those artists that u will hear a song, and be like, ok, I know this! He has so many amazing songs! Crocodile rock and Bennie and the jets are 2 of my favorite songs by him!
Hey Duane, I thought I'd suggest another song by Elton John, if interested. "Elton John - Bennie And The Jets (Official Music Video)" (by the channel: Elton John) This song is from their 1973 album called "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and was written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin and was one of their most successful songs. Nice rockin' with you
Yes, that is Marilyn Manson. And, Iris Karina was the lovely lady with those sunglasses. This video does this song sincere justice. He is a true legend in our music history. Pretty fantastic! Others, below have posted many of this incredible creations...so take a moment & listen. Enjoy!
I looked it up and yes it is Marilyn Manson and he is also in a Rocket Man video as well. Not sure why. Also I think it is abut Bernie Taupin's wife who did sew costumes for the band.
This is a great song! I think this video is just from some movie that used the song. Elton John collaborated with Bernie Taupin since 1967 on more than 30 albums. They were one of the best song writing teams. Bernie wrote the lyrics & Elton supplied the melody. They had so many great hits together such as "Levon", "Honky Cat, "Crocodile Rock", "Rocket Man", "Daniel", "Bennie & The Jets", "Candle In The Wind", "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting", "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" etc.
The video is as Duane said; one of 3 videos made for 3 songs that never had a video at the time of release. Elton’s team launched a competition in 2017 for all 3 songs and this was video was the winner for Tiny Dancer. The other two winners had theirs officially released for Rocket Man and Bennie and the Jets. The competition was launched with support of TH-cam. I think the movie you are referring to is Almost Famous in a scene where all the student actors are on a bus, the song starts playing on the radio and everyone starts singing along. That scene revived the song for another generation.
please do Elton John candle in the wind there 2 different ones one was written for about Marilyn Monroe it was rewritten again when princess Diana pass away please do both of them i like both but my favorite is the princess Diana version

It alludes to songwriter Bernie Taupin's 1st wife Maxine and the spirit and girls of California.
