    God bless Mike DeSario for breaking down the strongholds and holding firmly to God's truth. You will be greatly missed!
    I had the privilege to personally know Mike for a little over a year. It was through his videos and teachings that I realized the real reason why I could not stop sinning was ME. I had no idea that I even could stop.
    I was deeply brainwashed by the "sin nature" teachings drummed into my head since I was a very little boy through Catholic school. Once I came to the realization that I have free will, and I just never deeply wanted to stop...I truly repented and came clean with God, then immediately chains were broken and it stopped. I had no desire to do those things any longer. It was truly a MIRACLE. All praise and thanks to the Lord!
    You see, Jesus' yoke is easy and His burden light once you really repent and crucify that old man and receive the Holy Spirit. There is NOTHING like it. Talk about entering into a Sabbath rest!
    I feel very sad for those who refuse to admit that they can stop (they really don't want to) and simply claim 1 John 1:9 while totally ignoring or completely dismissing Hebrews 10:26, and many other scriptures condemning sin after conversion. You simply cannot have it both ways.

      Since Cain was of the wicked one , did he have a sin nature? Why did God hate him before he was born?
      I know the answers to the questions. Mikes message is mostly right , but it is your fleshly sinful nature that is by nature against the laws of God.
      That which is of flesh is flesh, that which is of spirit is spirit. We are all born in the flesh, but to be led to salvation one needs to be born of the spirit.the fact that most do not think their flesh stinks to God “ their fleshly self righteousness” is why most will never change.
      “ as the scripture says; because they have no changes , they fear not God. If you live your whole life for the flesh what further reward do you have? Flesh and blood shall not enter into the kingdom of God.Until people are taught that they are their own worst enemy(rebellious by nature”they will never take a step towards God. Jesus came in the flesh and thru his own sacrifice proved that thru the spirit you can resist temptations.He condemned sin in the flesh and proved that by his spirit you are not bound to sin, that you are no longer a slave to a sin that you can defeat the devils temptations.
      Jesus made choice amongst us by his victory, by his example , that we no longer have the excuse it was my flesh I couldn’t help myself because I had no power to resist it, for he gave us the power , the Holy Ghost , to overcome the flesh.Jesus proved that you can overcome your flesh,so you took away the “I can’t” excuse from mankind. So those that want to obey God can have his spirit to overcome the enemy of their flesh.
      Jesus was the scape goat once, he will not be the scapegoat again and again and again.He will come back to execute judgement on the earth.
      God wants a people to love him cause they want to , not because they have to. If you love me , keep my commandments.
      Obedience of faith is how we show Love towards God.
      This is why I always said if people can’t grasp what really happened in the garden of eden , they will not understand fully the present truth.
      To many think they are “something” they puff themselves up in the flesh, and others. And until they realize they are nothing, they will not humble themselves, and will never know him.
      Their is a scripture that says , the man that thinks he is something, when he is nothing, only fools himself.

      Awesome testimony,thank you for sharing,I'm in my repentance now,i do have a problem,i got off of heroin/phentinal,and i couldn't sleep at all,hardly had the energy too climb the stairswas loseing my appetite,so i started taking suboxin,it did help,but i really think i should'nt be taking it because it's a drug.It's not gonna be easy,but I'm pretty sure i gotta get it out of my life. Figured I'd ask you for advice,i know by your testamony that you have the mind of Christ as well as Mike. Thanks again.

      @@DontBshocked keep watching Mike,and always look up the scripture he quotes,pray for understanding. God used Mike too open up the scriptures too me,I'm in my repentance myself,and I'm on suboxin,and that's because of how hard it was to get off dope,so,I'm gonna get off this drug,and I'm writing cigarettes and pot,and all other known sin,because i see the truth of the fact that I'm able to repent and prove it by my deeds,and i will. Yea it's not easy,but eternal life on a new earth where rightousness dwells,will definately be worth it. Before i had much knowledge at all about God or Christ or the bible,me and a buddy got locked up for stealing gas ,and my car was impounded,we needed $165 to get out,and money to eat on etc. After sitting in jail for about 2 days,i prayed because i had no other options,we were on top of everything else,1400 miles away from home. So i prayed,told God i wouldn't steal gas,or eat n run from any resturaunts anymore,and that i would never say the G.d. word ever again. And told him i missed my family,my freinds,my freedom,(i was 19 then,I'm now 44)and asked if he'd get us out of jail,and when i got done,i said amen,went to open my eyes and rais my head back up,and before i could get either one of those things done,i hear the cell door clank open,and the jailer tell me it's time to go....I'm blown away by,then the jailer tells me that our fines were deducted from $400 that was sent to us by my parents landlord,and that the rest of the money was at Western union next door to the jail. And my car was right up the street,waiting for me to pay it out of impound. Not many people beleive me about that,but it's true. Then around 10 months later,i started drinking,and went out with some freinds and we all drank seagrams extra dry gin,really strong stuff,two fifths between 4 of us,but i pretty much drank one fifth by myself. Then i wake up in jail,only remember one of my freinds taking my keys and telling me he's gonna drive my car because I'm drunk,but he was drunk as i was,so we faught,and i got me keys back,by that time,we had ended up in someone's front yard,dude comes out pointing a gun at us,tells to get off his property and that the law were on their way. The guy that stole my keys took off running one way,and i hop in my car and go the other way,after that i only remember running up on the sidewalk on the main strip thru the center of town,and i remember cracking my windows just a little and locking my doors,while several cops were all around me trying too get me to get out of my car car. I must have passed out cause the next and last thing i remember about that night ,was taking a breathalyzer test,and it's a very vauge memory. So i wake up n jail,don't know what my charges are,i pretty much knew d.u.i. had to be one of em. I get a drink of water,and about 5 minutes later,I'm drunk again in jail. Anyway ,4 days go by,and the whole time I'm thinking about what happened around 10 months earlier,and i get moved to a cell where they keep those that aren't getting out anytime soon. And soon as i step into the cell,i see a bible right in front of me on steel shelf on the wall. I ask who's it is,and this guy says to me" It's mine " and I'm like,"Do you mind if i borrow it?" He said,"Go ahead,I've read it two or three times,I've got no use for it." I'll never forget that. So,i grab the bible,pretty much stay to myself except for talking to a couple people,one i knew from school,and the other i met in jail that was cool. I read a little over 100 pages from Genisis,then when everyone had left the cell to go to commissary,i was by myself and prayed again to God,and i had kept all my promises that i had made from before,and told him I'd quit drinking,smoking pot,as well as cigarettes too, a month after i get out,told him I'd read at least some from the bible each day,and I'd get a job and keep it,please get me out of jail when i go to court in 8 days. I then tell God i know and have no doubt that he can get me out of jail,but i didn't know if he would or not,because here i am again locked up,and this time the charges are alot worse. So i asked him if he's gonna let me out,too let me know by having my dad drive by the jail with my mom and little sister with them. I get done,and get up on the top bunk,look out the little tiny window,and immediately my dad goes right by the jail,mom and sister with him,in my 79 ford pickup,gold color,no mistaking that truck for any other either. So once again I'm blown away,thank you God i said. Then i go to church in jail,and waited till court. Then when i get to the courtroom,they sit us all down in the front row. Then my court appointed lawyer introduces himself to me,tells me to let the judge know that I'm not ready go before him until my lawyer gets back ,that he's out in the hall with other clients of his. I don't really say nothin,he walks out of the courtroom. About 10 minutes later they call me up. I get up,the judge read off my charges and asked me if i understood them. I say yes,then he asked me if was ready to plead guilty or not yet,and i said yes. So i plead guilty too the first two charges,then he says to me,"it looks like the prosecuting attorney was willing to drop the felony wanton endangerment charge if you were willing to plead guilty too the dui and attempt to allude,and you've done that,so we're gonna dismiss this one". Then he suspends my liscense for 3 months,fines me,and tells me to call for someone that can come pick me up in about an hour because I'm being released. I mean,WOW. You know the parable when Christ talks about someone hearing Gods word and its sown in his heart and immediately the devil steals that which was sown in his heart? Well,i know at least one way that happens,for me,it's was after what had happened to me the first time God got me out of jail,i went to church,was confused,been told alot of lies,wish i had known about Mike Desario then ,anyway,I've always beleived,and wanted to understand the bible,but i listened to false preachers,and got real confused by them. I ended up drinking again after almost 5 years had went by,ended up smoking pot again,so i broke my promises to God. I've been so stupid,we reap what we sow,that's for sure the truth. But i broke down recently and told God that i love the truth,even if i didn't understand it,and that i wanted to do the things that please him. I told him i was confused,and just didn't understand how to be saved,and i asked him to show me,to let me know what the truth was,because I'm miserable,hooked on dope,ciggerettes,i smoke weed,my neck is broken from getting rearended on the interstate,flipped my truck probably 15 times. Just barely getting by. And i have a nephew that needs me,parents that need me,my wife needs me,and i just felt useless. Then not to long after,Mike Desarios videos pop up on TH-cam. Talk about being woke up,and having your eyes opened up to the scriptures. I finally understand the real gospel message. I'm in my repentance now,laying aside all filthyness and overflow of wickedness,emptying my heart of all guile,gonna make my vessel fit for the Masters use. Repentance proven by deeds,because of Godly sorrow that's brought me to a faith that works by love.

I was truly amazed on the level of knowledge and humbleness yet convicting message from Mike. Sadly I found out he had just passed away that same month I found him. But anyone who chooses to repent and bear fruit unto righteousness and be a vessel fit for the Master's use will suffer persecution. It comes with the territory...we must all sit and count the cost first. Choose life in Christ Jesus for this world is not worth your soul.

    Brother Mike was one of the first videos I came across in 2009 to get me to understand that the sin stops in repentance. When I discovered this truth I was never the same until this day. I would watch Mikes videos for breakfast lunch and dinner from the morning to the night I couldn't get enough truth of God's word I would even watch the same video 2 or 3 times so I'd say probably 85%of Mike's videos I watched more than once. My wife at that time would ask me are you coming to bed and I'd be like one more video or it's almost done. I made notes I remembered scriptures I even experimented I took Mike's word for it that none of the church system preach the truth so I went and visited different churches of every kind of denomination and I spoke to pastors church members and asked them all the same questions concerning sin and repentance and sure enough all of them believed you could continue in sin and have Jesus at the sametime and I was so amazed I emailed Mike right away and told him what I experienced. But I truly will love and miss Mike he was a blessing to me I wanted to write on here as soon as I found out but I just didn't want to believe he was gone but today is the day I decided once again Mike was a huge part of me growing in my knowledge of the Lord Jesus and getting a complete understanding of the doctrine of repentance for sure. God bless Mike's family and all those who fellowshiped with him I love you all your brother in Christ.

    Yes, I have been deceived so many times that my head is spinning from so many different interpretations of the gospel, which is supposed to be simple. I know what each group that I was in would say against some of the points that were made in this video and it’s like those doctrines still haunt me because I don’t know if they were true and I was the rebel that went because some places that are synagogues of Satan still have some of the truth. I just pray that I get godly sorrow and that God doesn’t allow me to be deceived anymore. I will listen to this one again. I think that a person can end their love affair with sin, but it always rears. It’s ugly head and presents itself as an enemy. That is very much alive. That has been my experience.

    We start by coming to God and repenting or turning away from our sins and then as we are hateful of the person we have been. The gift of the blood of Christ comes and takes away our past sins (as we are not sinning now). Then as we get baptized showing obedience, we can receive the promised Holy Spirit who literally MAKES us righteous!! This is shown well in the metaphor Jesus spoke when he said, “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good or make it bad and is fruit will be bad.” So, Jesus was comparing trees to men and suggesting different ways they are made and how they are made determines how they will act. He did not say (as most interpret the word Justified) ~declare a tree is good and its fruit will be good. He said to make it good, thus, to be justified by God’s mercy and grace makes one righteous, ready, and able to produce good fruit!

    People forget to remember John chapter 1 verse one,the Word was God,when you obey Jesus’s word your obeying God,that’s why in 1john says if you’re born of God you cannot sit,born of God means you’re born of the word because the word is God,if you’re born of the word that means you cannot sin,it is impossible to do both obey and disobey at the same time today so call churches Believe you can keep on sitting as long as you don’t practice any sin, that’s straight from the pit of hell,people are still lost they don’t know how to stop sitting that’s why Roman seven that’s the lost person.Paul is talking about mankind in general it doesn’t mention about the Holy Spirit at all in the seven chapter only in the eighth, Jesus said if you keep my sayings you know the truth and it set you free when you keep saying you’re free from sending a child to know you can’t obey and disobey at the same time but Jesus also said only those of God here God’s words he didn’t waste his time trying to Persuade them, once people do not believe Jesus words they are not his sheep they hear his voice and follow his words

    People won't listen. And the reason for that is as your title says correctly: they are deceived. The most tragic part of the deception is that they don't listen to the truth you preach here and don't change their false believe. It is the same in other countries as well. People want salvation by faith alone so that they can continue in their way of life. They don't want to bring their false believe to the cross and crucify their sinful heart and mind set. They want to claim Jesus sacrifice as everlasting sin-payment for their false way of life. Jesus paid the bill and as believer we are saved by Grace alone as Luther taught.
    People love to argue about faith like this KJV1611 guy, because they think that we are wrong. I really appreciate your good work here and although people don't listen and change their thinking you should continue to shout out the truth.

    Mercy follows obedience, which is only logical since forgiveness/mercy without any action on the part of the transgressor doesn't make sense.
    Exo 20:5 "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them THAT LOVE ME, AND KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS."
    Dan 9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them THAT LOVE HIM, AND TO THEM THAT KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS;
    Jubilees 20:9 WORK UPRIGHTNESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS before Him, that He may have pleasure in you and GRANT YOU HIS MERCY.

    Hi Mike, July 2020, I am seeking full redemption. So before we come to saving faith we must put away our sinful deeds? That sounds like Law? I'm not that smart like you are. Wow this is a lot to take in. I thought I was saved... but now listening Because I still fall short and sin does that mean I'm in need of redemption?

      Hi, this brother is no longer with us but I'm sure he's with the Lord now. Jesus told us to follow Him (not any man) and love Him with all our hearts, and neighbour as ourselves (in Matthew 22:37-40) and this is the law of Christ (1. Cor. 9:21)
      Just seek Him with all your heart and don't let anything get on your way. That's how I was filled with the Holy Spirit after being in sin and lukewarm christian. God bless you

    I'm with you on the part of it being a phoney baloney gospel which doesn't have the power to save. I also agree with brother Tommy that the street screamers do not preach a sound message of repentance and faith proven by deeds. They redefines terms and just today when I simply asked a person what is salvation to him he told me I need to get into a church and they he'll pray for me.
    Mike, and many others what I see doing with the scriptures is a horrendous poor job of hermeneutics. They act like the Scriptures were written to them instead of for them. The love to ignore all eminence passages of time statements and the audience relevance of the text. Once you look into the context of what was being said to whom and for what time you'll really start understanding the Scriptures.
    Here's an example of how simple this really is...
    Jesus speaking to living humans around AD30...
    "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will REWARD each according to his WORKS. “Assuredly, I say to you, there are some STANDING HERE who shall not DIE until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” Matthew 16:27,28
    Roughly 30-35 years later Jesus gives John the words for the book of Revelation and at the very end John writes....
    "And behold, I am coming QUICKLY, and My REWARD is with Me, to give to every one according to his WORK" Revelation 22:12
    The rewarding of works would come after the resurrection. Jesus says that it would happen before some of those men died. 35 years pass and Jesus says "IT IS RIGHT AT THE DOOR NOW!"
    "And they were astounded and amazed, saying, “Look, aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? How is it that each of us can hear in our own native language? Parthians, Medes, Elamites; those who live in Mesopotamia, in Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs-we hear them speaking the magnificent acts of God in our own languages.” They were all astounded and perplexed, saying to one another, “What could this be?” But some sneered and said, “They’re full of new wine!” But Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them: “Men of Judah and all you residents of Jerusalem, let me explain this to you and pay attention to my words. For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it’s only nine in the morning. On the contrary, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel: And it will be IN THE LAST DAYS, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. I will even pour out My Spirit on My male and female slaves in those days, and they will prophesy. I will display wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below: blood and fire and a cloud of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and remarkable Day of the Lord comes. Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Acts 2:7-21
    Why is it that people omit what Peter said, that the last days were back then? Joel prophesied about it way back when, and took place with Peter, not in our present or future. The prophets foretold of the time when 'there was to be a change,' when JESUS fulfilled the old and GOD created a new covenant. Those were the days that the prophets foretold of. The days of the outpouring of the holy spirit.
    "Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you. And everyone who will not listen to that Prophet will be completely cut off from the people. “IN ADDITION, ALL THE PROPHETS WHO HAVE SPOKEN FROM SAMUEL AND THOSE AFTER HIM, HAVE ALSO ANNOUNCED ((THESE)) DAYS." Acts 3:22, 24
    Keep the text in context.
    Luke 21:20-24 - “When you [not the reader but those standing in front of Jesus] SEE JERUSALEM SURROUNDED BY ARMIES, then recognize that its desolation HAS COME NEAR. THEN those in Judea must flee to the mountains! Those inside the city must leave it, and those who are in the country must not enter it, because THESE ARE THE DAYS OF VENGEANCE TO FULFILL ALL THE THINGS THAT ARE WRITTEN. Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days, for there will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles UNTIL THE TIMES OF THE GENTILES ARE FULFILLED." [70AD]
    Keep up the great work bringing down the strongholds holding those captive to sin. Love and blessings in Jesus name.

      Here's where Hermeneutics came from:
      Hermes, the mythological Greek deity who was the 'messenger of the gods' Besides being a mediator between the gods and between the gods and men, he led souls to the underworld upon death.Hermes was also considered to be the inventor of language and speech, an interpreter, a liar, a thief and a trickster. These multiple roles made Hermes an ideal representative figure for hermeneutics. As Socrates noted, words have the power to reveal or conceal and can deliver messages in an ambiguous way.[13] The Greek view of language as consisting of signs that could lead to truth or to falsehood was the essence of Hermes, who was said to relish the uneasiness of those who received the messages he delivered.
      Certainly not from the Apostles understanding of Scripture

      holdingfirmly My point is that you're picking up someone else's mail and at times implying things to you personally when you're not the intended audience.
      [1 Peter 1:1] - "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ: To the temporary residents dispersed in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, chosen"
      [Romans 1:7] - "To all who are in Rome, loved by God,called as saints. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."
      [1 Corinthians 1:2] - "To God’s church at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus and calledas saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord-both their Lord and ours."
      [Galatians 1:2b] - "To the churches of Galatia."
      [Ephesians 1:1] - "Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will: To the faithful saints in Christ Jesus at Ephesus."
      [Philippians 1:1] - "Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus: To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons."
      [Colossians 1:2] - "To the saints in Christ at Colossae, who are faithful brothers. Grace to you and peace from God our Father."
      I think you see the point I'm making.
      So ignore some simple principles of studying the ancient documents if you want to, but for us who dig deep into the Scriptures to find the intended meaning of what was written we can see you take a lot of verses out of their context.

    • @holdingfirmly
      @holdingfirmly  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, I see you're using a Greek pagan theology to explain away the scriptures, just as the theologians in the seminaries do, which began with Augustine in ancient Rome, when he was trained by Ambrose to explain away the OT passages he didn't like, calling them allegories instead of eternal Principles of truth. I understand historical reference of some things said applied to that generation. But the eternal principle spoken of by the Holy Prophets and Apostles are everlasting through time. Such reasoning has blinded many, claiming 'context' when you don't like what a passage is saying. Your 'Right Way' is the wrong way, if we are to bring people from darkness to light from the power of Satan to God.

    • @holdingfirmly
      @holdingfirmly  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Time frame is one thing, casting out Principle truths is another, the core principle truths of repentance, faith, redemption, sin, grace, are eternal, they cannot be explained away by context or time frames.

That is why I was watching this channel in seeking truth. I have been praying to God that I only want truth and not what the churches of the world are teaching and I believe he led me to this channel. We are to be holy as he is holy and I am wanting that. We are also commanded to speak the truth in love.

    So if I understand correctly you are saying that those who are truly "saved" stopped sinning the moment they got "saved"? Are you "saved"? Do you not sin? When did you get "saved"? How many years has it been since you have not sinned? You must be a very special person to have not had one single immoral, unloving, unpeaceful thought for that period of time.

    • @holdingfirmly

      It really very simple, I said its the Rebellion that ceases in Repentance, rooted out, and the heart made Pure, that's the Purpose for which Christ came and established the New Covenant in His blood, read Heb9:14-15,10:19-23, if this doesn't happen the sin will never cease and Redemption cannot take place.

      I am trying to understand. So since you have been, " I've been set free in Christ, washed in the blood and regenerated by His Spirit.", am I correct in understanding that you have not sinned since the time that you " I've been set free in Christ, washed in the blood and regenerated by His Spirit."?

    • @holdingfirmly
      @holdingfirmly  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I said the rebellion has ceased, no one is perfect in knowledge or free from ignorance, we all must grow in Grace and Knowledge by adding to our faith. But such sins as most professed Christians imagine all 'Christians are committing, as those listed in 1Cor6:9-10, Gal5:19-21 are gone, dead, put to death in Christ, never to be repeated. When the heart is made Pure by faith, the root of lust is destroyed, once for all.
      If these are honest questions from a searching heart, please go to my webstie and dig into many of the studies on the various subjects most of the professed are confused about. If you're just trying to accuse me of sinning, or being a liar because I say I have no sin, I end this discussion as being unfruitful.

    YOU CANT EARN A FREE GIFT

    • @noybiznatch
      @noybiznatch 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not a matter of earning it. What happened to the 3rd person in the parable of the sower, who buried their gift? Thrown into outer darkness.
      Salvation is not merely forensic in nature. We are supposed to be set free from the power of sin when we come to the Lord.
      ‭Galatians 5:22-25
      [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. [24] And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. [25] If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
      Let me highlight, OF WHICH THERE IS NO LAW. These are good works you should be seeing as the result of a truly saved Christian. The works Paul was talking about (being saved apart from) were those laws whereby people were trying to merit their salvation via circumcision or ceremonial laws.
      All of the fruits of the Spirit indicate an action being done. They are verbs. Faithfulness and Self-control reinforce the idea that Obedience is evidence of ones salvation. Faith and Obedience are inseperable.
      Salvation is covenantal. You must abide in Jesus. Salvation is of the Lord, salvation is IN the Lord.
