Ukraine troops charge into battle and open fire on Russian troops near Bakhmut

- Ukrainian troops attacked Russia south of Bakhmut. Soldiers from the 28th Brigade took part in the charge. They were carried into battle in an armoured vehicle. Then they charged forward and opened fire. They used grenade launchers and rockets on the Russians. Ukraine says it is making advances around Bakhmut. Russia has deployed its elite paratroopers to the area. But so far they have been unable to stop the advance.

I played video at 0.25x .. there is nothing looking as something shootable there (sure, video is pixelated) + there was another dude from his team right in front.. Why wasn't he shooting too?

We don't waste that much ammunition even in games. Why are they firing aimlessly at plants when clearly noone is there till far away? Both sides are highly inefficient and untrained. I literally watched wastage of atleast tens of thousands of dollars in two minutes. Is this what they are doing with the enormous foreign aid?

Seen that most battlefields in Ukraine are much exposed to assaults or attacks becoz most land areas are plateaux and no deep forests. Sort of open areas for fighting. Unlike most countries Asia, especially in Southeast Asia,, most countries are predominantly mountainous with jungles, forests, caves, rivers, streams, lakes, bad weather, etc. So even modern military equipment, technologies, vehicles, means of communication can't always be used effectively. Also, enemies can be easily ambushed from bushes, deep forests, caves, etc.
The middle east is very open as well, right? Was that a big problem when U.S went over?
