- FS19 Filling the new bunker silo is the next part in the No Man's Land timelapse series. We start off the day tending to all of our animals and taking our canola to sell while there's a good price for it. We then get our final field of winter wheat sown to finish off our field work for the year. To prepare for building the new BGA over winter we buy a new area of land and mow the grass in it to make silage at the dairy farm.

Massive Respect for the amount of effort you put into your work, iv recently been watching this series and tried to follow along with my own farm design but using the same mods and items you have for guidance. at first I downloaded all the mods from your very organised list but as soon as I hit a few episodes in I was lost and had no idea what was going on. i see you have just updated your mod list and I can now follow along easily once again. Great Work Sim Farmer!
Not sure if ive seen you use this setup before, but use a conveyor belt to fill your TMR mixer from the bunkers. It saves time and money. And eases the silage filling. I dont even use bales anymore (outside of the straw harvest DLC) I just fill lofts/silos with forage wagons. I dont even add straw either. As IRL youd NEVER feed straw to animals. (The shoots can puncture/cut their stomach linings causing severe infections) Its especially useful when your operation gets large enough where too many bales can cause lag as well. Just my 2 cents
Also, I only do a 50/50 mix with silage and hay for TMR
Not sure where you're from as it maybe different but in the UK straw is used as feed for cattle in mixes and as straight feed from bales being put out in feed rings. I also use the auto stack bale storage most of the time which effectively takes the bales out of the game reducing the impact on performance from having loosely stacked bales.
@@SimFarmer hmm... Must be certain breeds then. As my uncle runs a small ranch in Washington state (US) and I remember him telling me not to feed the cattle straw for the above mentioned reason. He raises herefords and black angus
Not sure on breads and think it tends to be more oat and barley straw for feed with wheat straw for bedding
This is my fav series. Youre really precise and glad to see that in your videos. I learn today something new, with courseplay .. after this will be really easy to "teach" routes to AI with this trick .. thank you very much .. keep working..!

Hey Sim, do you have any tips on starting a good channel with FS19 logging?
It's late ik sim farmer but if you where to buy a different seeder I think out of personal preference the one before the condor would work well for the current tractors u have
Doesnt your cows produce manure? Since youre buying it for the greenhouses
Not at the moment as they're in the pasture and don't produce slurry or manure in it, will get some when I start moving them into the shed.

Can you use a dump trailer to fill a bunker or does it have to be a different type of trailer
You can use a dump trailer you just need to use the unload here function as it won't show on screen the unload prompt like it does at a sell point or silo

hi sim! great video again! starting from ep 34 i noticed that your grass color from map has changed, it became darker, do you use any grass texture or something? cause it looks better, even cut grass looks darker. Are you using any forgotten plants textures?
