Ironically I’d never know this guy if it wasn’t for TH-cam clips. As a podcast and radio show “junkie” this guy was never on my radar. Not sure how anyone even knew he existed even though he’s been around for like 20 years...
Mark my words this format and most importantly A person with quick whit will dominate podcast and it will never age and it's no disrespect but you can't just be stern you have to be funny and red bar is A natural and every one should be on notice and like stern many will be afraid yet bow eventually to redbar to stay relevant and I would invest in this show it's coming nerds

The balzac dude's commentary Is lazy and weak, and people only watch it for the clip of redbar. Redbar should get 100% of the ad revenue if he's gonna run ads on it.
No I don't think so since he adds his own commentary, dreadful as it may be to power through, he deserves the revenue. Should Mike give revenue to all the fools that he commentates on?

Obviously that may or may not be true, but on another he said he roughly has between 3000+4000 subscribers which at $11 per month and $30k tax for his business if he's in Chicago it says business tax is about 7% so that would mean it that about 3500 subscribers paying that much tax would mean he's bringing in close to $500k. I'm not from the US so maybe I've misunderstood how the US or individual states taxes businesses. Seeing as in a lot of clips he's talked about not wanting a huge audience and not chasing more money as he's happy with what he's got it might be more trouble and hassle if he did get huge. There's some quote I heard somewhere that the only person you should want to lead you is the one who doesn't want the job. Imagine the arrogance of believing you have the ability to fix a country or whatever. On similar lines, the only person people should give money to is the one who says they don't need it. I feel at least Redbar would put money directly into the show. He pointed out Rogan has$100m just from Spotify and he must have multiple millions from his show before that deal but he hasn't tried to hire amazing people, improve the sets, do something original or daring. The comedians like to think of themselves as revolutionaries who are telling it like it is and shunning convention, but they all follow the same path, copy each other, need approval from TV networks and Hollywood and show how scared they are to do anything different. They talk about how creative they are but they sit on their money instead of making a cheap movie or making something interesting. At best they do bad webisodes with the plan to sell the exact format into a network. You can tell some of them know they are imposters and are worried by Redbar Radio going after them

Here's my philosophy... Upload clips with commentary added, cool. Run ads if you want... Upload clips with no commentary/changes added, not quite fair use in my book but still ok. Probably shouldn't be running ads tho. Upload someone elses paywalled content, that's not ok, it happens, but it shouldn't. Its a touchy subject and all but I think it's wrong when you're adding nothing to the content, and then taking payments for doing so. Just seems sleazy...

I'm a chick by the way. it just sucks cuz I don't want to force my commentary just to say that it's fair use when people are going to be trying to listen around that for the real thing that they're here for which are red bar clips. Mike seems to be okay with clip channels now as long as they aren't making money off of it. I'd gladly monetize it and give him the revenue for all I care.

they never show his wife's face. all i hear his her voice. i have no idea what she looks like which is annoying. if she doesnt want to be on camera just show her face once a week out of respect to the audeince.
Then look her up they did a show with her on camera a long time ago. She's just too hot, so much that her being on camera would definitely be a distraction for the show and that's all anybody would talk about in the comments. that's how people are.
