Tom Kenny is absolutely the real life Spongebob. The last 5 minutes of this video felt like an actual scene from Spongebob when he's talking and being his sweet unapologetic-self but everyone has things to do😂😂
I know people like Tom Kenny for Spongebob and his childish roles, but his real voice is so mature and very suave.
I'm glad Korey brought up Skids and Mudflap, because Tom got to give us some insight into what the thought process was at the time, and I like that even though now he wouldn't be comfortable doing that role, he didn't completely knock them or admit they're racist stereotypes and even Reno Wilson, who voiced Mudflap, was cool with it too and even had to encourage Tom that it wasn't offensive. A lot of people, black and white, agree that they were essentially "Wiggers", wanna-be street kids without really understanding the culture since, they are alien robots.
This guy literally accomplished his dreams :')
I love Tom Kenny he is the voice of my childhood and although he is iconic for spongebob his Ice king/Simon performance is phenomenal and breathe taking. I know alot of his other work but yea. Grateful for this interview I didnt think Dt could get any better.

Great interview! (Share some of that energy with me, please Tom! 🤣 It was kinda cool showing clips of the SB stage show, too. I've heard of it, but didn't know the characters looked like people. It's cool that he got to make an actual appearance on the show! I love Tome Kenny, he's one of THE voice actors for cartoons for me growing up - but he'll forever be Spyro to me! 💜 I love how he's also a fan of Mel Blac, he was a voice acting GENIUS! You do t often hear his name mentioned, despite his talent & how famous the loony tunes were. Great video (totally worth over running, sorry manager! 😆) thanks for posting! 😁

That question brought the vibes down uncomfortably hard. They were regarded terrible even at the time, and not just because of the appearance of potential racism, but because they were just annoying and unnecessary.

Don't question greatness
The TH-cam algorithm doesn’t like it if you mix content with different levels of viewership. If Double Toasted Interviews get 50% less viewership than the usual content they post, then putting them in the main channel would actually lower their entire channel’s chances of being recommended to people. So instead by placing it in a separate channel where each vid gets roughly the same engagement they can keep both forms of content favoured by the algorithm.
