  • Think for a moment about how you feel moving.
Simple movement - walking around, picking stuff up, light exercise.
What are the words going through your mind right now? Are they positive? Do you see yourself moving gracefully and beautifully, or did some less-than-desirable adjectives come to mind in your self-talk?
How about when it comes to your riding? How do you think about yourself as a rider?
Stay with me here, because what I have for you in this new video is not a quick tip about where to put your leg or how to hold the reins, but it is far more important.
In today’s video, I invite you to join me in a simple exercise to explore the impact of our thoughts on our movement.

Starting out, I described my Walk as relaxed, just walking. My word became ‚focus‘ and I started to walk around with a positive Body tension. Hope, I can transfer it into the saddle.

The tldw version is … it is totally okay to gaslight yourself when you are riding ! 😂 I will bring this trick to finals. I will share it with my team. Watch us all walk around the walk being like “ rizz…rizz rizz” or something silly like that. Mine is “ i wanna be tall”

After a young horse accident that landed me in hospital with 9 broken ribs, coming back forces me to focus on my movements. An absolute must for my young scared horse! Stay 100%aware at all times!

Starting out, I described my walk as "blocky", my hips felt locked, my shoulders were stuck. But loosening up and really clearing my head, the word became "competent", and I started reminding myself it's ok to settle in and believe in myself. Hopefully this word can become something even more inspiring, but this was so helpful!
