A little bit late here, but just wanted to say I own this desk and its truly amazing - and I'm still learning new things, such is the power of this desk.
Great video Rick. Have you guys thought of doing a training video series especially for volunteers in a church installation. I'd definitely buy it when we get our 24.4.
Thank you Team presonus you completely changed my sound quality I'm from Israel and one of the few that work with your device here I look forward to more updates and improvements on the mixer Thank aliezer lacho agamdj
@AntkneeAll Funny you should ask - we are shooting one in September. It will hopefully be available in November for free of charge as either a DVD and also on our website.
@newhorizon2000 i used 16.4 and you have fat channel(eq,comp...) on the board for all auxes, that you might use for your monitors, plus it also has 32 channels eq for main out.
I know you asked the question a year ago but We use the 24.4.2 with Sennheiser EW100 G3 wireless mic units for the vocals and the EW100 G2 unit for the pastor with the head set at church and we've successfully done an album that sounds pretty decent plus we record each sundays sermon and upload it to iTunes, As I'm the sound guy and if you want a quick sample just search Coastside church in the iTunes store and the tune at the start was done using the the 24.4.2 in the church hall as an idea
I would love to have one of these for my home studio, I think it's great except for one thing, no automation. I'll just wait and see if they come out with a model with automation.
Good night !!! What PCI FireWire indicated for the StudioLive 24.4.2 ???? I'm having serious problems with some flaws and locking without 3 different DAWs ???
it looks ok but i need to be able to hit 1 button and my faders move back to were i had them, dont want to have to move each fader or button back to its location.if i'am multi tasking in other words moving around then have to come back to the board then move faders and buttons thats to much i think.got to have automation helps cut the work flow.I will be waiting on those flying faders : )
I have a presonus studio live mixer 24.4.2, I use it as an audio interface but for recording (DAW studio one 5 ) the gain is too small and the wavesform are thin. can I use PreSonus Studio Channel Mic Tube PreAmp to solve the problem, and can I cause noise when using it. thank you for the help
I dont understand if this desk has moving faders or not.... If not...once In a live situation am I faster enough to understand the mix just taking a look to the faders...?
hi i want a mixer and interface for 8 PLUS inputs and I produce my own beats mainly hiphop, rnb, and old school... I just want a good interface and a good mixer to mix in the DAW. Would it be better to have a separate mixer and a separate interface or is an all in one like this better?
@RockJockStudios You computer seems to have components of old firmware on it. You'll need to load the latest driver and firmware from our site. If you have any problems, please visit our support webpage and we'll be glad to help: @RockJockStudios You need to update your firmware. Go to the PreSonus site and download the latest version. They are priced too low to have flying faders... Believe me, I get it. I love having moving faders, recalls, etc., but to have that, you'll have to drop some more pennies.
just got this board for our church as well. It's pretty amazing.

@ricknaqvi Best of the Season to you & yours. Any updates on the video series?
@philberto12 No , unfortunately not, there are no motorized faders on the 24.4

if i buy this mixer and a couple of different mic`s, could i then record an album that sounds decent?
so does that mean that this now has motorised faders, so when you move a fader in vsl, it'll move on the actual desk?

So if you have 2 graphics going across your mains left and right, you then have 6 more available to cover 10 aux sends ?

@moshfists Yes. It works with Logic.
Hi, just wondering if the pre's have a pad?? cheers.
I have problem freezing GR, how do I solve? Studio Live
I thought it had a 32 bit bit depth... wouldn't that translate to 192db of headroom, not 118?
Oops, we goofed! Wrong phone number in the beginning of the video, you can reach us at 800.222.4700. Thanks!
is that still the same number 10 years later ?
