Thank you for the demonstration here. I know you posted this quite a while ago but, I just learned about this product and was hesitant to start using it. I found your video and watched the demonstration 5 or 6 times lol I followed each step for all five of my basses and guitars and each one came out looking amazing. Thanks again
I know I probably mentioned the Maple thing too much, but I feel like someone would do just that… 😂 Thanks for the kind words 👍 Congrats again on the 1000 subs
Hey thanks man! I would personally reach out to the guitar manufacturer and ask them directly. That way you’ll have peace of mind. I’ve done that when I wanted to use it on Roseacer and it turned out that the manufacturer used a filler that wouldn’t allow the board to absorb the oil… So definitely touch base with them and see what they recommend.
No need for lemon oil after 02… 02 is a mineral oil that will moisturize the fretboard… It’s also not good to over oil a board, so just the 02 is all you need. You can repeat the process every 6 months, but I generally find it’s a once a year thing at most… If you decide you want to switch back to lemon oil after the 6 months, that’s fine also
@@amersyahh12 yes they do the same, it’s just that the 02 is primarily mineral oil and lacks the lemon oil blend… but yes, they do the same, and you only need to use one or the other 👍
Honestly I’m not sure. I don’t own any guitars with a palemoon board, so the best answer I can give you is to reach out to the manufacturer of the guitar, and see what they say. That’s your safest bet. Best of luck 🤘🎸
Yes you wipe the 01 away, the 01 is just a cleaner and drys quickly… spray some on to a micro fiber cloth, clean the fretboard, wipe excess away… I usually take a break at this point anyway… I then make sure the fretboard is clean and dry, and then apply the 02… Hope that helps, any other questions just ask…
I believe Dunlop says not to do it more than twice a year… I find that if I do a good deep cleaning with it (like the video) it lasts a full year and then some… Keep in mind, I keep my guitars in a clean air conditioned climate controlled room… Still, I wouldn’t do it more than twice a year… Best of luck

Awesome tutorial!
I was wondering if this is suited for Jatoba fretboards, didn't find anything online about this kind of wood.

Hello, is the oil okay on a palemoon fingerboard?
Honestly I’m not sure. I don’t own any guitars with a palemoon board, so the best answer I can give you is to reach out to the manufacturer of the guitar, and see what they say. That’s your safest bet. Best of luck 🤘🎸
Do you remove the 01 oil after putting it on the fretboard or do u leave it on and continue to using 02 oil?

I wonder if the Jackson Amaranth can take the product?
I don't know if it's sealed or unsealed 🤷
I’m not sure to be honest. I would recommend reaching out to Jackson and see what they say. That would be your best bet for a definitive answer…
how often should i do it? can i do it every time i change my strings?
I believe Dunlop says not to do it more than twice a year… I find that if I do a good deep cleaning with it (like the video) it lasts a full year and then some… Keep in mind, I keep my guitars in a clean air conditioned climate controlled room… Still, I wouldn’t do it more than twice a year… Best of luck
@@FretboardDiaries thanks for your comment, so when i replace strings and polish the body i shoudnt do anything on the fretboard?
@@OfficialSiga Exactly… Once a year is usually good enough for the Fretboard, twice a year at most… Hope that helps 🤘
@@FretboardDiaries thanks man appreciate it
