Where I grew up, we were amongst a lot of Jews but had nothing to do with them. Why? Well, they were Hasidic Jews so they didn't talk to us and we didn't talk to them. Now that I know more about them, I sort of feel sorry for them.
They’re generally happy living an insulated life. It allows them to fulfill the mitzvahs that are paramount to Judaism in a way they think is appropriate. They don’t need you to feel sorry for them.

People from that religious background make up 2% of the world's population yet are a much more substantial minority among wealthy elites who are in positions of power and dictate policy to governments that ultimately control the average citizen's life.
