its actually not too hard singing in chinese if u think of it in a different way :) because when u speak chinese (mandarin) there are different tones for different words but when u sing mandarin the tones are being replaced by the song's melody almost? lol does that make sense xD as in the tones in the song dont exist anymore and the words flow with the melody ^^ but if u meant the pronunciation of mandarin words is hard, it is actually pretty similar to korean in a way because about half of the korean words originated/derived from china so it sounds like a bit like mandarin :) just keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it just like how u can sing korean :D good luck! hwaiting~

However, Xiumin also has to take Korean lessons to speak well in interviews, learn vocal work, dances, speaks more Korean than Chinese on a daily basis (especially when they promoted as 12), and had a huge period of time where he made little use of Chinese. Kris2Chan You're in school :) That's all you need to focus on for a language. You practice it almost everyday, you're tested on it, you're forced to write and speak and communicate in the class. You're not going overseas ever few days (or even hours), or singing in Chinese (which is, phew, very hard). Glad you love Xiumin ;) Just that he has reasons for mispronunciation.

This is the first time I can hear the EXO-period Kris sings.. (He always just rapped and I couldnt hear his singing voice though I want to). It’s gentle and nice.. I wish SM had let him sing more… Not just asked him only to rap… fans wanted to hear him sing too… not just hear him “talk” in the songs no matter how sexy his “talks” sounded… I can understand that Kris’s singing skill at the time was bad compared with other EXO-K members like Baek and DO, so I could kind of bear it if they didnt let him sing in the EXO-12 members version, but then, when it is the EXO-M version, there is just half the members so each member could get more lines, then why couldnt they let him sing just one or two lines?

However, Xiumin also has to take Korean lessons to speak well in interviews, learn vocal work, dances, speaks more Korean than Chinese on a daily basis (especially when they promoted as 12), and had a huge period of time where he made little use of Chinese.
Kris2Chan You're in school :) That's all you need to focus on for a language. You practice it almost everyday, you're tested on it, you're forced to write and speak and communicate in the class. You're not going overseas ever few days (or even hours), or singing in Chinese (which is, phew, very hard). Glad you love Xiumin ;) Just that he has reasons for mispronunciation.

Always for me Exo M were better singers in general than Exo K, especially during their first years as group, because even their rappers sing so good, something that Exo K lacks a lot at that time.
EXOM actually was doing way better than EXOK too. I think EXOM won awards in China before they got sent back to be EXO as a whole.

This is the first time I can hear the EXO-period Kris sings.. (He always just rapped and I couldnt hear his singing voice though I want to). It’s gentle and nice.. I wish SM had let him sing more… Not just asked him only to rap… fans wanted to hear him sing too… not just hear him “talk” in the songs no matter how sexy his “talks” sounded… I can understand that Kris’s singing skill at the time was bad compared with other EXO-K members like Baek and DO, so I could kind of bear it if they didnt let him sing in the EXO-12 members version, but then, when it is the EXO-M version, there is just half the members so each member could get more lines, then why couldnt they let him sing just one or two lines?
