Thank you for sharing this special day with your viewers! It is such a wonderful idea for you to get these bears for the boys as they transition into the new house. Build A Bear holds a special place in our hearts too. When my daughter was 5yo, we lived in an apartment style condo. It was a week before Christmas and we were sitting down to eat supper. My daughter was sitting with her back to the dining room wall, which was a shared wall with our neighbour. I heard the weirdest sound and a second later there was a huge explosion, the wall split open, the picture that hung on the wall fall and pinned my daughter to the table. It was so scary and sudden and confusing, etc. When I grabbed her and looked up I could see fire spewing out their window. We grabbed our coats, boots, my purse, and got the heck out, knocking on doors and yelling for everyone to leave and that there was a fire. Needless to say, the fire consumed 2/3 of the building within 6 hours and we lost everything. Baby books, keepsakes, toys, personal treasures, quilts that great grandmas had made... everything. It was horrible. Luckily, my mom and dad live in the same city and came to get us from the site of the fire. As a week or two went by, we started to settle down a bit. I was blown away by the kindness of complete strangers during this time. One of these things was Build A Bear. The manager of the building contacted all of us with little ones to let us know that we were all to come to the store in and build themselves a new friend. They closed the store for an hour for us to take our children thru and pick out a teddy, an outfit, etc. much like you did with your kids in today's video. That was kind enough that they invited us all, closed the store so we could do our thing with our kids, etc. but when we got up to the check-out, what was really amazing was it was all paid for. We learned later that it was a group of people from the city we live in (outside of Edmonton, Alberta) that had chipped in and set this all up. It was anonymous and to this day we have no idea who it was that did this beautiful thing for all the kids in our condo who were affected by this fire. My daughter chose a doggy too and she still has him 12 years later. His name is Pup-Pup (the originality of a 5 year old, haha) and I don't think he will ever leave her, even if she moves away for college. Pup-Pup was a smooth haired dog like the one Calvin chose, but is now a curly-haired dog. Mommy did a bad thing and put him thru the dryer after washing him one time. (I swear it was on tumble-low heat, but maybe I am wrong!?).
They are just precious. Jackson looked a little scared in the car, I wish I could give him a hug! I think he's worried about the big move. The kids may not remember this day, but you guys will, and the audience will. I'm inspired to build a bear!!!!
Calvin melted my heart! He was so cute in this vlog! I have 2 Build-A-Bears, Smurfette and Sugar Girl. I built Smurfette in 2013 and Sugar Girl this year in June of 2016. I have many stuffed animals and out of all of them my favorite is named, Teddy, I've grown to love Teddy all my life, I got him when I was born, 10 years ago, I need him day/night, when I sleep, through the hard times, through the good times, and many more. He was given to me by my Nana, and she passed away 7 years ago, whenever it's the day she died, I cry for hours and hours, and Teddy has beenanother reminder that she's here with me, she was born on leap year day and officially was 16 a year before she said goodbye to us, she was in her late 60s not counting leap years. Not only that but every leap year I'm in tears sobbing my eyes out because of her birthday, I'm was so grateful for her life but sad it was gone. Watching you guys, and Teddy has been a mental support. Teddy also makes me feel like I have a friend everyday and night. I'd like to thank y'all for helping me through this hard time that has lasted for over 7+ years, you've same me happy, laugh, and smile like my Nana did, she's not the first death and not the last but the most the one I've struggled through the most. I work at Build-A-Bear here in Australia, and seeing the pure joy on everyone's faces, not just children, is the most special and magical thing to witness. I hear stories from parents that got their first teddy 15+ years ago and now they're doing the same for their children. Your boys will treasure these special friends for their whole lives.

Calvin reminds me of my niece the first time we took her to build a bear. We took her last valentines day (she was about 20 months) and it was hilarious. There was a HUGE line, but as soon as she saw all the "pup- pups" she was so excited. It was just me and my 17 year old sister watching her, there is a huge line, my niece is screaming of joy saying "woof" and Pup-pup", it was super loud, but it was worth the smile on her face. She also chose the checkered heart. That really meant a lot to me because it was always a tradition in my family to get bears on special holidays and we would always get the checkered hearts to make them special. She loved hugging the bear and kissing the heart, but SCREAMED when the lady took it away to pump it up. It was worth it though because she loves him to this day.
Not sure, if you remember, I commented a few videos back how grateful I am to have my boyfriend of ten years and that he planned something for me. Well - he proposed on sunday (our 10-year anniversary) and, of course, I said yes! I am so grateful to have him by my side through life's ups and downs :) I just wanted to share that, I am so so so excited for our future

you guys were literally my very first youtube family to ever start watching. i feel like i know y'all so well! love y'all!!
