  • The Deseret Power Railway is an electrified private Class III railroad operating in northeastern Utah and northwestern Colorado. It was built to transport coal from a mine in Dinosaur, CO to a power plant in Bonanza, UT. The railway operates General Electric E60C locomotives hauling coal hoppers over the approximately 36-mile route, and is one of the last electric freight railroads in the United States!
Enjoy a few clips from a visit to the railway in April 2024, watching these electric beasts haul coal through the scenic high desert of Colorado!
