Amazing is an understatement for this amv. And I want to say, season 2 is more explicitly focused on Vanitas x Noe's relationship. Vanita's "intimacy" with Jeanne is always playful and noncommittal, whereas with Noe, their closeness is always sincere, full of denials, true- but no less committed to something deeper and more serious (hence Vanitas kept contradicting his feelings for Noe at EVERY turn).
Vanitas x Noe act almost no differently from a slow-burn, canon couple whose relationship includes "detours" (as in the typical harem route- here provided by Jeanne, Domi and others). At the end of a crucial crisis, they end up being more solidly driven toward each other by reasons more persuasive than either of them is willing to admit.
If you've seen the amv by the original artist behind Vanitas's official music, it seems like the song is low-key shipping Vanitas and Noe too. ^_^

you summarized my thought on their relationship so well I couldn't be able to!! I feel odd sometimes reading comments on "otp Vani x Jeanne" because for me that never felt sincere from Vanitas' side. Maybe my glassed are biased, but I always feel that he only enjoys teasing poor Jeanne.

@@maniaShio I admit, the things I can say because I'm a fan, ha ha. ^_^ Vanitas and Noe could've been more romantic, though I want to say- having a serious commitment that defies the strongest adversity even the most difficult life-and-death choices feels heavier, deeper, and so much better than plain, cliche romance. ^_^
