Matt work with your AD to put together a booster club for baseball. They have fundraisers (Las Vegas night, silent auction, etc.) and run concessions during home games. We have gotten equipment and updated uniforms and a scoreboard, with the money they raised. I've been coaching HS for 9 years, I word of advice: Be consistent and clear. I wish I had some extra money to send to your program but I just sent a million to the Ukraine relief fund so I'm tapped out for now! I'm sure you'll be fine! Just promise that you won't ignore a single kid like I was! There were guys a little better than me that got the attention and the at bats and I know if the coaches weren't teachers just trying to help out, I would have improved. I wasn't a half bad pitcher! Your kids and so many other kids are so lucky to play for good coaches that propel them to achieve their dreams whether it be a high school championship, a trip to Omaha, a high draft pick or a chance at the show! And while it wasn't just my high school coaching, I'd have to say that high school is the most important time in a player's advancement and you have a lot of responsibility in your hands!
