With your knowledge of the game, your ability to communicate the fine and broad points of baseball, your temperament, your love of the game, and your patience (that shows with your son Matty), you are going to mighty fine. No doubt about it.

Matt i love ya man. Something about you is incredibly genuine honest and all around great. From your MLB videos where you go in depth about what it’s like in majors and minors, to the Show Vids, to vids like this…one of the most interesting channels and people on TH-cam.

Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉🎊 on your new head coach position. I had some horrible high school coaches. My best coach and most memorable was a coach who was highly competitive and cussed out his players. He lead my team to a CIF title. You have to have an edge in order to win. Just remember that!

Matt work with your AD to put together a booster club for baseball. They have fundraisers (Las Vegas night, silent auction, etc.) and run concessions during home games. We have gotten equipment and updated uniforms and a scoreboard, with the money they raised. I've been coaching HS for 9 years, I word of advice: Be consistent and clear. There is plenty more but for now Good Luck!!

Matt, best of luck with your high school coaching debut. It is fantastic that you have made coaching a big part of your life. You certainly have a great deal of experience in so many roles.
Also, kudos on returning to Wake Forest to finish your degree. Knowledge is the key to all, and learning how to learn is a big benefit of earning a university degree.
You will do a great job with the high school program just as you are doing with Antonelli Baseball. Best of luck, and most of all, enjoy the experience.

Good morning COACH Antonelli! Remember in High school baseball, head coach MUST attend pregame plate conference and certify "all my players are properly equipped. And all my equipment is legal, free of alterations or cracks, to NHFS standards..." before handing plate umpire your lineup card. Good luck. *NFHS Rule 4.1.3(b) First official day of baseball in Maryland is Friday, March 25, but private & Catholic schools in area started official preseason scrimmages Saturday, Feb 26.

Hi Matt. Really happy for you and the kids who are going to be able to learn under your tutelage!
I wish I had some extra money to send to your program but I just sent a million to the Ukraine relief fund so I'm tapped out for now! I'm sure you'll be fine!
Just promise that you won't ignore a single kid like I was! There were guys a little better than me that got the attention and the at bats and I know if the coaches weren't teachers just trying to help out, I would have improved. I wasn't a half bad pitcher!
Your kids and so many other kids are so lucky to play for good coaches that propel them to achieve their dreams whether it be a high school championship, a trip to Omaha, a high draft pick or a chance at the show!
And while it wasn't just my high school coaching, I'd have to say that high school is the most important time in a player's advancement and you have a lot of responsibility in your hands!
I'm old enough to be your dad so I can say that your dad has to be so proud of you of all of your achievements! I wish you good luck in your upcoming first season an look forward to hearing more Antonelli Baseball!
Oh, just kidding about the Ukraine relief fund. But not the tapped out part!
