This sort of Kobosan powder was made from 1987 up to 1992. The great thing about Kobosan: if he bag is undamaged, the powder will stay fresh for decades. I have tons of this sort of powder around at home. I find it to be quite effective for removing stains. Your carpet, by all means, is quite a challenge, though:-) Kobosan of today is less humid than this one, which shortens drying time while making the whole cleaning process more dusty. BTW, the VTF was made from 1984 to 1988. Vorwerk switched to brushrolls instead of sponges in the mid 90s, making the VTF system FAR more effective, especially at removing stains and bringing up the pile.

Wicked! And that makes sense, the date on the box is 1992! I was quite pleased with how well it worked tbh! Yep, our carpet is fun! (luckily it's all our own mess so I'm not too bothered). Hoping to get a Kirby demo off it too before Swmbo orders it taken up and we have the laminate underneath back, was only a stop gap whilst Charlie learnt to walk, stop him bouncing his head off it!

I, bought a Vorerk in 1984; and, it, still works today! I, have thoroughly loved, it! (In, 1984, I, had a home daycare for 13; and, the children were all under, the age of four-years-old -- on, off-white carpeting!
I, would clean the carpeting with Kobosan-snow, Friday evening -- let, it, dry over- night -- and then, I, vacuumed, it, up the next morning! It, kept the white carpeting white, for, two years--until, we moved! I, still, miss, the white carpeting!) I, still love, my Vorwerk! Thanks, Vorwerk! I, paid $1,500.00 plus tax for, it--in 1984! I, would do, it, all again! I, love, my Vorwerk! (The pad on the carpet scrubber needs to be replaced; but, from seeing, clips, I, am now aware, I, can buy a replacement scrubber!)
    Awesome!

The VTF can actually stand by itself in upright position. Have a look at the back of the machine - you will notice that there is a small pin. This clicks into the small hole. You don't need to press a button or anything - just push the handle reception firmly down (as if you would "overstretch" it - very hard ti describe) so that it clicks into place. You can't break anything , even if it feels as if it would break any moment. It feels even more strange to put it back into storage mode - again, it won't break, just do it. It is meant to be that way. Clicking it into place also prevents the part from wobbling around, making it easier to manoevre.

It took me ages to find the storage mode! Makes it much neater

Hey there! I was expecting some sort of magic but the results were pretty similar than yours. Stains would still be visible, the snows particles are everywhere and the smell remained for weeks! A little disappointing to be honest. Thanks for this video, its enjoyable watching your son in the background.

I've got a Vorwerk VTF 732 Dry Cleaning System in the Basement, but in Germany it's called as Vorwerk Teppichfrischer 732

I have a very vintage VK122 that looks similar to your VK120 with a similar Snow masher head and several packs of snow. Plus a location that needs a good clean. I look forward to giving it a test.
Like you, I do strip down, clean and maintain my various vacuum cleaners. Most of them can be fixed and become effective again. Yet I do prefer the more reliable German designs. How many bunged up & deeply abused Dysons have you had to fix?

Ha, I've done 2 cordless, one dc50 and I wrote off a dc47 last night as its digital motor had blown a chunk off the pcb!

"will it freshen up the pile? will it deodorise my sons bare feet as he frolics around?" cute vid and very informative - thanks! Personally I love their vacuums, but I'm not a fan of their snow products for carpet or mattress; shit just gets everywhere.

Here it is again confirmed that antisocial people are often also dirty. I'm glad that I don't have to go to the apartment. I wish the boy a better life.
