We had a string of minor accidents that occurred in one week. No serious injuries or damage but as a safety professional on a construction site I was worried that this was just leading to bigger and worse things. We had a stand-down and I brought our guys in to discuss the happenings. I had recently seen this video so I pulled it up and showed it, as well as other videos, to the guys. I think it had a positive effect. We haven't had one incident since the safety stand-down (38 days). You guys have a ton of helpful videos. Thanks so much.
Thank you for your comments! Frequent reminders to your people go a long way in establishing a culture of safety. Even seasoned "old-timers" need to be reminded about basic safety procedures. Occasionally reviewing past incidents is a good way to avoid future accidents.
Someone Runs in the Back of My Foot Witrh a Cart While Im watching This Old Guy Cross The Asiel But I,m Doing My Job Right What Needs tob Be Done Ill Do it
We had a student at my school pour water right at the Cafe doors. I didn't see it until I was already on the floor. Had a bruised knee for over a week.
While I didn't care for the "Humans are bad and should be shamed", undercurrent in the video; I took umbrage with the YELLOW LIGHT example. In Texas, at least, the law is to prepare for the next traffic signal, not slow down. This is colloquial wisdom at it's finest. Not all "truisms" are true when examined more thoroughly. I wouldn't be commenting, had I not been subjected to this against my will.
hello can u help me to this questions. following a significant increase in accidents,a health and safety campaign is to be launched within an organization might ensure that the nature of the campaign is effectively communicated to,and understood by employees.
Dear Marc, Can You Please Explain Your Doubt in a more accurate manner. If you are in confusions related to HSE on Improving your Health and Safety performance, I have made some videos in my channel have a look into it here. th-cam.com/users/KannanmakinoTv Thanks
Hello guys! I am from Brazil and I would like to ask you a question. Here in Brazil there is a profession called ( técnico de segurança do trabalho) A person in charge to prevente accidents at workplace . How do you guys call this profession in English ?
In my opinion, before we do a work we must know the difficult of that work and the dangerouse of that work. before we do any work we must trained properly.. Before we do the dangerouse work, we must ensure our safety fist..
"What Causes Accidents" Health and safety executives who spend far to long studying theory and not enough time learning how machines and tools work before telling tradesmen how to use them.
So, true accidents would be unforeseen occurrence resulting from non preventable circumstances. I prefer to think of all else as incidents. The shift in terminology keeps me from ever dismissing an incident because I might think there was nothing to learn from it. A suggestion, as vocabulary is what shapes our perceptions most...
The cause of occupational accidents are caused by the imprudence of the human, this causes them to be caused by not having surveillance and control of risks and dangers, either in our home or work, when these risks are not identified they can cause consequences or damages irreparable in the human being.
Saftey Memos ..Your still calling them "accidents" there's no such thing as an "accident" they're more accurately called collisions, they are all 100% avoidable.Every one can be explained somehow, some way & is directly attributed to error or negligence on someones behalf & avoidable when it gets right down to it.I can say I've learned quite a bit from driving classes,3 in 30 years,to avoid ticket conviction, with the right instructor it's actually pretty interesting.

We don’t need to know how they work; that’s the users role. We watch for fuck up opportunities 😂

No part of the video outlines the responsibility of the employer in providing a safe workplace environment.
