It would be so lovely to see it back as an hotel. Stayed there in the 70's before it closed then moved down to the Kildonan Hotel.

My grandparents ran it when it was the WBH in the 70s.
    Wish I had the money.
Absolute shame the grounds have been eaten into over the years.

Thanks for all your recent videos Dave. Used to go on holiday to chalets in Whiting Bay back in the 1980's. I remember the local store called "I Greatorex". A lovely lady.

Yes. She only very recently passed away having celebrated her 100th birthday.

Oh, if I could only go back a few years, win the Lottery, I'd be in like a Flyn and snap it up as I have lots of Hotel experience having ran country hotels here in Australia.

So have I got this right Dave - it was up for sale only a few short months ago (at £650-£750k??)… didn’t sell… then got dramatically reduced to £375k… sold almost instantly… and now it’s back up for sale for a “buy it now bargain price of £45k MORE than someone paid for it only a couple weeks ago”? What’s happened - has someone offered a stupid £375k not knowing the Scottish system… the seller has said “DONE” and before the buyer knew what had happened they own a former nursing home?… Or has some smart ass thought “I can flip this and make nearly £50k in a few weeks”… Or has the buyer bought it on a whim, maybe even unseen, then gone in and realised “…oh crap, I’m gonna have to spend a million quid on this…” All very odd… What do you reckon is the score?

@@scottballantine1329 I honestly don't know. If I was guessing, they probably did the former, bought without too much thought and then changed their mind as the markup in price is small so there's not much profit in 'flipping'.
