Your kit Birds should never be allowed too graze the ground the longer this Behavior goes on the harder it will be to get them to fly. They should be flying or in the kit box.

The reason why your birds are not flying long is because of the 2 or 3 flippers holding them down. Cull those or take them out and the rest should go up. You need to make some time and come over again to watch my birds.
Your Birds are acting like they are starving. That’s why they don’t want to fly long. Also they will not return home if they are not eating enough at home. You have to figure out the right balance of feeding so they are not starving and they don’t become lazy.
