La música de Pavane es como la recolección histórica del sentir humano, bueno la música en general no solamente Pavane, en esta pieza escucho los diálogos entre el hombre y a lo que se puede llamar Dios.

The tempo is right! Most of musician of 20 (and 21) centure play music too fast. Ravel harmonys is so rich, that you want to hear its and taste. And sound is right, it is not impove much, we can hear hands and lips of orchestra musicians. This sound is alive. One of the best inerpretation of Pavana in net.

Ravel described the piece as "an evocation of a pavane that a little princess [Infanta] might, in former times, have danced at the Spanish court".[2] The pavane was a slow processional dance that enjoyed great popularity in the courts of Europe during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.[3]
This antique miniature is not meant to pay tribute to any particular princess from history, but rather expresses a nostalgic enthusiasm for Spanish customs and sensibilities, which Ravel shared with many of his contemporaries (most notably Debussy and Albéniz) and which is evident in some of his other works such as the Rapsodie espagnole and the Boléro.
