When I look at the orchestral compositions of Jeremy Soule in videogaming, it seems to be one of the best careers of all time with HP, TES, BG:DA, SW:KOTOR, etc. Amazing 👏
@@spooky8741 It’s sad how temporal moments of our lives are. Trying to remember it as best as I we can and yet the life is like an unstoppable stream. But these moments warm us in time of need like memories of summer days in winter
The first three video games for Harry Potter is really well done and the soundtrack is PERFECT for these games, it's so magical and special feeling and captures exactly the wizarding world at that young age. Let's hope that Hogwarts Legacy will be just as good if not better :) What a good time to be a potterhead!
Yes, absolutely agreed! Hogwarts Legacy is like my biggest dream finally come true. I'm sure lots of us have been fantasizing about a game just like it for so long!
@@Mediolanum7300 Same here! It was actually by the time the Chamber of Secrets PC adaptation was released that I started fantasising about a game like Hogwarts Legacy. That's why I started writing fanfiction back in the day 🤣
Literally back here playing this music over hogwarts legacy because for the most part the music on HL sucks. I was so disappointed hearing Vivaldi's "Spring" whilst walking through the castle, just seems so lazy. I wish I could mod this music into my game so the tracks would play when I enter certain areas.
@@SteezyTeef I have a few things to say to this. First, I don't recall ever hearing Vivaldi's "Spring" anywhere in the game? You may instead be thinking of "Minuetto" by Luigi Boccherini, which is being played by Enchanted Instruments in the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower? Second, there is an entirely unique soundtrack that beautifully encapsulates the feeling of the Wizarding World. I believe the composers for Hogwarts Legacy did an amazing job with the soundtrack. Something tells me you jumped to conclusions far too quickly, which is generally what happens to someone blinded by nostalgia
I have always struggled with anxiety. My therapist suggested to find songs to assist with calming myself down during a panic attack. I stumbled across this video and while it isn’t a “song”, it eases so much panic to be immersed in my fantasyland. Thank you truly for this upload.
shivers, absolute shivers. It feels just like it did when I was a kid and played this game. So much nostalgia and lovely memories playing these games. Maybe one day, one day all the games will be rereleased. That would been a dream.
I remember when my parents gave me my PS1 as a present when I was 7 yo, HP 2 was my first game EVER to play and I can't describe the feels of how I got immersed in its world, for hours on end. And there's no questioning its music played a huge part on the whole experience, the experience of being carefree and endlessly happy in a world of magic. Thanks for bringing back such healthy memories.
yes i still don't get why they did the goblet of fire game dirty like that :(( but i really liked the fifth and sixth game, where you get to explore hogwarts a lot!!
@@stella2492 I know what you mean. When I got 4 when it came out I was so disappointed, and I keep replaying 1,2 and 3. 1 is the most clunky but has the biggest amount of nostalgia for me (;

Played this game as a child and was by far my favorite video game soundtrack, although I didn't know it at the time. Then when covid hit I decided to try out some older games I missed so I played Skyrim and it now stands in my top 3 all time favorite games now; the gameplay, the music, the world, the "features", everything. You can imagine my surprise today when I learned that the music was done by the same person. Jeremy Soule you are a brilliant man. You gave us the most magical soundtracks that let us get lost in those worlds. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
I love the soundtracks of the old Harry Potter games. They are one of the reasons I have played through Chamber Of Secrets so many times. The Ambient is my absolute favorite.
I've listened to this video at least 3 times a week for the past year or so. I can't describe the instant relaxation that overcomes my body the second I hear it. I have each song memorized at this point and can't hear them out of order anymore either! Thank you so much for uploading this amazing mix!
Thank you so much for this! I run a bookstore, and I like to listen to this when I do my daily work. Makes it feel like Flourish and Blotts! Takes me back to playing these games as a kid. And this compilation is the cream of Jeremy Soule’s beautiful compositions!
I love what you've done here. This is brilliant mixtape and I can't even remember half of them, which is great as it means there's more HP music to find from the first 3 games! Jeremy Soule made tonnes of stuff. It's a shame a lot of it isn't heard or released officially. I've just found another one you've done. Are you going to do more?

Interesting... I mean, I know he did compose for both, I myself played both early HP and TES series. I just don't really hear Oblivion in that one track. Tbh I think he made these soundtracks feel completely different. I can't find the sound of HP 1-2 anywhere else, it's unique, magical... Except for one: Secunda from Skyrim - I think it captures similar magical feeling well
If the first 3 PC and ps2 games got a proper remaster where they didn't change anything, just improved upon the already amazing style and updated the graphics, kept the music and all the levels (maybe create some new ones on top of the existing levels and take inspiration from the books), and added the lost levels that where cut from the games during production like the Hermione in the hospital wing level from cos (if you know you know) it would mean the world and more to me....also thank u for making this I am beyond appreciative and thankful, It was very touching to my heart and brought back a Prethora of good memories.❤️✨ Side note: I'd also like to add that I think they should completely redo whatever they're excuse of a game was for goblet of fire, and make it open world like the first 3, so u could explore the castle, find secret areas and passages, collect wizard cards etc. during the Triwizard tournaments, just saying.
Much like everyone else I adore the games! I'm also a huge fan of soundtracks, so this one is awesome, I do wish they would reboot the games and do a ground up remake of them.
