They had a very favorable schedule, but they still won the games, while other top tier teams lost to very inferior teams. This won’t be the last time that they make the CFP during Coach Cignetti’s tenure, because he’s a winner and you don’t need to Google it.

ND schedule is not a strong one. Big Ten makes the schedule. He is confident. I work with this program, he is not arrogant. You need to to watch what you say when you don’t know someone.

It wasn't a blowout or anything. IU played really well all season with what they had. ND and OSU has enjoyed decades of high level coaching and recruiting. They have been big time national TV game schools. IU hasn't had that, but they laid a foundation for the future.

I didn't think Indiana played anybody when they were undefeated. They lost the first round I expected them to lose how did they have played better maybe they would have won.
This is the problem building a team out of the portal which is essentially out of other teams rejects or small school achievers. IU was a really good team but not elite, just a step down from the top. Colorado is the other portal team with similar outcomes. So it still is about recruiting 4-5 star HS kids. We will see if Cig can do that at IU, no other coach has prior.

One other thought is I am not sure how this team was even in the playoff hunt. The did not beat a single good team all season. They played in the Big 10 which is a joke and finally it all came crashing down. He will never gain make the playoffs. TCU all over again. When is the NCAA going to learn.

Simply put this man and his entire coaching staff were out coached by ND. I am not a ND fan by any stretch and wanted this guy to win. I played Linebacker for JMU many years ago and he coached thee long after I left so that is the connection. He coached like a little league coach against and NFL staff. His players were not ready. One other thought is I am not sure how this team was even in the playoff hunt. The did not beat a single good team all season. They played in the Big 10 which is a joke and finally it all came crashing down. He will never gain make the playoffs. TCU all over again. When is the NCAA going to learn.
4.6-4.7 doesn't catch 4.4-4.5. Better players. The guy's is owning it. Going forward you've got to have uber talent to compete...............and $$$$$ (unfortunately).
