- Every year, Y&R introduces several new characters to spice up the storylines. Unfortunately, at the same time, Y&R also breaks the audience’s hearts often by withdrawing their favorite stars from the show. As it happens, 2021 saw some of the most shocking exits and firings that sent the fans into a frenzy. Meanwhile, Y&R also suffered the loss of some veterans which shook the fans to the core. In this video, we will be talking about five such times when Y&R fans got the shockers in 2021.

Sadly all of them should have never been taken off this soap!! What the hell were the writers thinking! I am so sick of Abby and the new chance!!

I thought Donny was SO much more cuter than this guy...I think Donny's personality made him look even cuter! This guy is good looking, I agree, but with no personality, he'll never get any better looking!
Like you all said this Chance is good on the eyes ,but I watch Y&R for more than just looks ....Donny is a better actor than this new guy ,don't know his name ,his isn't very interesting and his character is so boring.....but watching Abby bounce about in heels everyday probably gets old really quick .... They need to have Victor and Ashland go at it like Victor and Jack used to. Those days were the best.

And please fire whoever is dressing Phyllis, Lauren and Sally. Their clothes are hideous, and so uncomfortable looking. Lauren's clothes are way age inappropriate for her, and for her corporate image. Better suited for a hooker.

I have watched Y&R since high school. It just isn't as exciting as it use to be years ago. I do still watch it but I remember scenes that were much more exciting as the days of Andy and Paul with outdoor scenes chasing criminals etc. No offense to the actors in the Y&R now. Perhaps the writers could jazz it up a bit.
Bring back Danny Boanz this new Chance sucks I'm sorry. And I hope Devon is not the father he's too selfish. Amada storyline is boring.
While I like the new Faith, she doesn't have the same feel as the original Faith...this Faith is older and more mature than the original Faith, and there's just something she's just not bringing (maybe it's her constant blank stare?) than "our Faith" did. As for Summer, I heard she was doing a Pilot show (a Western Comedy that would air on night time TV), which I thought was strange, because that doesn't seem like her at all, and now we hear it's due to contract negotiations, so not sure what's happening there. Donny Boaz being given the boot was Heartbreaking! NO ONE can play Chance like he could! The chemistry between he and Abbey was better than she had with her own husband, when he filled in!
Donny Boaz needs to come back. This new Chance is terrible. He is doing things that Donny would not do. And he's not as good of an actor

The new actor playing Chance does nothing to compliment who the character is suppose to be. Difficult to watch. There also is no chemistry w/actress playing Abby.

So do I. King is a great actress . I say, directors, producers should work their contract differences out a d bring Summer back. That ha some Kyle needs to be brought back too. Get rid of Sally and that awful Amanda. That will save you some money and have a better storyline for Jack and Phyllis too. The new Chance isn't right and the writing there about Abby and Chance and Devon is awful. Why can't you guys let Abby have a good life. You always have to mess it up? Not everybody is a mess. A real mess to watch is current affairs with Ukraine.
One example of strength so not many want to tangle with is the actor for Victor's role.

Oh I love that little boy too! (Summer & Kyle's son) Little Harrison has the sweetest little face, and those gorgeous blue eyes and curly blonde hair - he could totally be a model for sure!

All five of the people should be back as their characters they played. None of the new stand ins are even close.

I have lost so much respect for this show for the way that went down. Gina poured het heart and soul into Phyllis for solid years. She had chemistry with the entire cast and nonstop front burner storyline. Then this Big Dtum roll and we are all supposed to be bedazzled because Michelle Stafford made a deal to waltz back after being at GH for 5 years. Well the verdict was out on that one from day one. A FLOP. DOWN HILL MAJOR MISTAKE. The vibrant exciting to watch Phyllis has been literally destroyed. Ms.Tognoni and her legions of fans deserve a whole lot better than this. Shame to all evolved and I stand by it as a true fan of this show since it first aired.

Yes they did and to bring this girl was horrible. Her acting is for the birds. I just don’t understand. I’m not talking about her, I’m talking about the character she plays and her acting abilities, The clothing that she’s wearing on the show it’s just horrible and that long straggly hair. They need to Fire her wardrobe person and her hairstylist and she needs to go back to acting classes.

RIP actor John Abbott ! But all the rest that left the show went on to better things than doing a soap! I love my soaps but if their good enough to do movies! Great for them!!

They should have let the Tara takeover last a little bit longer before Kyle reunited with summer. It was too abrupt and seemed a bit lazy that cops just show up out of the blue to arrest her

I read that the character who plays Summer left due to her pursuit of her degree in Psychology. She was quoted saying that her classes demanded her to concentrate more on her studies.

@@gloriabell9448 Well written Gloria, and like Darlene, I agree with most of it. Lily's ex couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. He was flat, emotionless with no range, and I couldn't understand anything he said, which has nothing to do with his accent.
Ray is definitely one of my favorite characters. And yes please, don't pair him off with Chelsea.
I'm fed up with the giddy and overdone wedding story of Tessa and Mariah. I wish Sally would leave. Her over-acting with the head bobble, facial gymnastics and never-ending body movements are awful and distracting.
Billy is a narcissistic, self-absorbed, mischief making boring boy, who needs to grow up. His story lines are ridiculous.

I say good riddance to Lola, truly the most obnoxious character ever. I HATE that they let Rey go though! I LOVED him and Sharon!!! I dread the inevitable Nick and Sharon reunion 🙄 They need to bring Cane back ASAP! I don't want him and Lily together anymore but he'd be great with one of the other leading ladies. I like the new Chance very much, hope they give him more story lines. I also like the new Summer and Faith (I didn't even know it was a different actress, they look so much alike!) And I really enjoy Sally on the show! She has really brought new life to the show.

I breathed a sigh of relief when they got rid of Cane. He was awful. He had no emotion, no depth, no charisma and no range. I couldn't understand a word he said, and it had nothing to do with his accent.
He was always whispering! My Dad & I used to watch together 💔 & we hated it!
@@deidralea7932 I hated it too. When he came onscreen, I'd think oh no, and watch his flat performance whispering the dialog. My daughter used to laugh at him, and one of my granddaughters caught a little bit of an episode, and asked "why does he whisper", and also made that flflflfl sound imitating his incoherent speech. I burst out laughing!
I love the new Summer, Allison Lanier is doing a great job and is a better actress than Hunter King. I do miss Sasha Calle Lola , and Donny Beuz Chance. I also miss alyvia lind Faith .
I DO not like this persons voice. She's not reporting the show nicely. Her voice and the way she's reading the script is not welcoming. I Do not like her voice.
