That thing is beautiful! That stitched grip is really nice. The entire bow makes me think of the Montana though with the diamond wood, low grip and the arched riser. I have to say though the 60" is a bit different. If you're getting those 400's to fly out of there I bet a longer bow wouldn't have made that much difference in speed. Looks good. You were obviously jazzed about it. I am/was a recurve shooter. I just got my Montana a month ago and I wish it would have been one of my first. I really enjoy the longbow. Thanks for the vid.

We've been extremely impressed with it thus far here at S3 Archery. Thank you for watching the video, and don't hesitate to contact us with ideas of what you'd like us to post in the future.

Thanks for the feedback - glad you enjoyed the review. We have shot this bow for the past 5 months almost every day, and it just gets better and better. It isn't the fastest bow ever, but it is amazingly light, very accurate, extremely quiet, and just the coolest looking bow out there.

Daniel Gunter I loved Dan's so much, I had to order my own up! Should arrive in mid-late January! Great bows - give Jerry Brumm a call and order one up - you won't regret it!

Have you ever reused the Big Jim bows thunderchild, or Buffalo??

Does it have a little deflex in it. Before stringing.

How would you describe the differences in feel and performance between the bamboo core and red elm core in the two Bushbows in your videos? Thanks.

+Bob Moon Bob - On the "feel" side, the bamboo feels much quicker/snappy when you release the string vs. the red elm. To describe the difference in feeling, it is like shooting an ultra light carbon arrow (bamboo feel), and then shooting a heavy aluminum arrow (red elm). The bamboo feels "snappy", whereas the red elm is much smoother and feels like the string is accelerating as the string is released, whereas the bamboo feels like it goes from 0 to 165fps instantly.
Regarding performance, we haven't put the green GN thru a chrono yet (will this spring in a review), but can confirm the red elm GN shoots a 550 grain arrow 158fps (47# @ 29.5") and the bamboo will be approximately 5-7fps faster, so you could expect it to shoot the same arrow around 165fps.
We will post reviews on both GN bushbows this spring, and that will definitively answer your question. Thanks!

Thanks. I have several Great Northern bows. Two Bushbows, one with osage and the other with hickory, and a Lil Creep with bamboo. I was thinking about another Bushbow with bamboo, as the Lil Creep has a very different feel but it's a much shorter bow overall so not comparable to a Bushbow. I appreciate your answer.

I would think you should be shooting 35/55 Trads out of that bow.

Thomas - you are right. The Bushbow shoots a 500 spine arrow much better than the 400. We will post a "review" this summer and update everyone one the bow after a year of shooting. Thanks!
