Need laws that specifically protect children from their parents financially. Parents have so much personal info they can forge all kinds of paper work.

And that bit where Dave thinks that a lawyer has to do anything their customer tells them to is the most asinine thing I've heard. People can't press charges. People can file police reports and indicate they'll cooperate with prosecutors but individuals have zero control over whether charges are pressed once a report is made.
@@RiSkyNick The prosecutor is who makes the decision on whether to press charges. Otherwise we'd have people not charged with serious crimes b/c their victim is scared/intimidated or loves their attacker which increases risk tl everyone and also people going around pressing charges for asinine "offenses" (for example charging someone for assault b/c they accidentally bumped into you on the street which resulted in no injury whatsoever). Where people get confused and probably where the confusion comes is sometimes the cop on the scene (who also doesn't make a decision on whether charges are pressed) may ask if you want to file a report or decide not to arrest the perpetrator if you (the victim) indicate you won't cooperate with any police/prosecutor action.

Their lawyer should go to jail as well, wtf, milking them
How can you claim AFTER a closing on a house, that the previous owner didn't sell it? I don't understand. Can someone explain? Who paid the taxes?
I discovered the hard way lawyers will drag out the matter for as long as they a)can get away with and/orb) the money holds out
Somebody lying. I dont know who. But SOMEBODY LYING
40K, 2 years, and ZERO results?
Terrible.
In some states (mine) if you do this, you’ll get your block rocked off. Period
Isn't the property owner required to sign the quit claim ?
She must've forged it ? Law enforcement will certainly pursue this
Sorry but I’m distracted by when did he become a single dad if they started dating at 16? And he bought house from mother at 19 because he was a single dad?
I was wondering about that too.
Three sides to every story. In this case four. We only got 25% of it
16 years ago, not at 16
@@riku3716 19 years ago when the girl was 16
She might have been 16 and he a couple years more?
Good to know how to protect myself
That’s illegal yeah she can go to jail
Prosecutors are quick to deny charges and says it’s a civil matter
Fire the lawyer and get an attorney.
It is nice to have Dave back.
So mom owns several homes and reds some quick cash,. Instead of selling a home or getting a heloc, she steals a house from her own son and holds it for ransom. Yeah, the woman is evil. File criminal charges. She has assets, why steal from your own child. She cost her son $40k,because she was mad he could not afford to give her money. I bet she wanted about $200 K to buy another rental property. Crazy.
After my dad passed, it took his attorney 18 MONTHS to settle. He basically owned his house and car. I called the bar, we settled soon after. I worked in a job that he needed something from me. I put his ass on hold and never picked up. He put his request in writing and I completed his request. Easy peasy.
Need laws that specifically protect children from their parents financially. Parents have so much personal info they can forge all kinds of paper work.
Ruby Franke make millions off her kids, didn’t pay them a dime, tortured them, then said the day they turn 18 they have to leave. Many parents are horrific, but that fact makes most people *uncomfy* so they pretend it’s not true.
Wow how messed up is this. Your own mother trying to kick you out of your own house because she is not getting her way.
It's HIS mother. Not Hers. She's not giving the whole story because... where does he stand in all this?
She is a b….
@@cyoohoos He should marry his mother. The guy is an idiot and a moron. What she sees him has me totally confused. I guess woman like losers and guys they can fix.
Well, why is your husband not managing this? It is his mother? And if he can't protect his family from his own mother, then maybe you need to question your relationship with him. Most men would not want their wives getting this involved with issues with their mother. I'm not saying they didn't give you good advice ... I'm just saying apples rarely fall far from the tree.
And if I were you... I would quietly be gathering a *leap* fund because filing criminal charges against a MIL....
She should have dumped the jerk 20 years ago. No balls. No guts to stand up for his wife.
I think Dave was ready to send them his own lawyer just on principle alone.
now theres a potential Ramsey income stream -- ELP law-yuhs!! 🙂
She needed to get another attorney
So there’s a lot to think about here. Who’s been paying the taxes? What are the squatters rights in Michigan? How much does mom want? Is mom in good health (can they wait her out)? They’re also in Detroit, wouldn’t be hard to find someone to take care of this if you know what I mean.
Did she say she was 19 at the time? Did she mean her husband was 19?
So......any endorsed local legal "providers of justice" in the caller's area?
Did they pay anything for the house? Or was the house transferred for free?
Dave and George’s matching outfits 😄
I’m betting there’s more to the story that we didn’t hear. How many 19 year olds can buy houses? Some, but not many
I’m guessing it was a rent to own arrangement that has gone sour
Yes I agree 100%. This callers story is goofy.
Yeah, there are some holes in the story, but of course, Dave and his crew jump in and declare that the lawyers the caller has are idiots, without having crucial information. And that bit where Dave thinks that a lawyer has to do anything their customer tells them to is the most asinine thing I've heard. Lawyers, typically now the law and people ask all sorts of stupid crap, that might be illegal. So a real lawyer doesn't just do whatever their customer asks them to.
@@Aki_Lesbrinco yes you are correct.
If you’re a lawyer and do “whatever your client says to do” you’re going to lose a lot of cases and eventually lose your license.
too much interrupting on both sides.
I know it is only anecdotal,
"They all cry when you throw dirt down on them."
Why are people such wimps and so afraid to press charges?!That's YOUR house!!!
People can't press charges. People can file police reports and indicate they'll cooperate with prosecutors but individuals have zero control over whether charges are pressed once a report is made.
@@janise01 What's the reason for that?
“You whacked chick” “Unbelievable” “go to jail” “do not pass go” “do not collect $200” 😂😂😂 I hollered “go straight to jail” 😭
Never allow religion to be used as a shield for bad behavior!!
More Dave rants !!!!😂😂😂😂
YES PLEASE!
The advice is worth exactly what you pay for it. Hilarious!
The attorney sounds like a friggin scammer too.
Unless the husband was tying the attorney's hands by refusing to pursue criminal charges.
Screw "settling" with the mother. File criminal charges then counters her for damages to cover your attorney fees and damages for her fraud.
If she’s convicted trying to steal your house then it ends
This lady and her husband are just too friggin nice!
Criminal always precedes related civil cases
Dirty deeds done dirt cheap
live spell check is crazy
MIL is making a power play. The son needs to put his big boy trousers on. I feel sorry for this lady.
Criminal prosecution is brought by the state so there is no cost besides taxes
Why is this even possible?
Mama wants her sonsband back.
Sonsband may want to be back with Mama
The son is in a band? I’m confused.
@@11plus3 short for son-husband

Every time I hear people take abuse from their parents justifed by christian beliefs, I text my mom that I love her. I'm grateful my parents were the way they were.
Dave missed the point that before this come up they were helping mom when she got in a bind and when they didn't hand over money she did this..
What does this change? She’s an evil witch of a mother.
