- Measure of Dispersion | Range, Quartiles, Mean Deviation, Variance and Standard Deviation.
Range: Is the difference between the highest and the least values.
Quartiles divide a distribution in to four parts
Mean Deviation is the Arithmetic mean of all the absolute deviation from the mean.
The Variance is defined as: The average of the squared differences from the Mean. It is denoted by δ²
While Standard Deviation is the square root of Variance. It is denoted by δ

So nice
sorry i don't understand what the sample mean there....is it a code word for a grouped data?
Hello sir, how would one know if a given set of data is from a population or from a sample since it's formula for both varies. Thanks..
Emmanuel from Ghana (West Africa)
It will be stated in the question
Heyy there is a problem with the formula for mean absolute deviation...
"for sample data!"🤔
Sum(abs(x-X))/(n-1) 🤔
Isn't this "sample issue", "(n-1)"applied only for standard deviation...
The category for sample data??
Good
Sir pls what does it mean to say absolute form
Hello sir, please I have a question. Does it mean that after u find your standard deviation, and you square the answer, u are not supposed to break it down into decimal?
You can do that
🌌🌠☺
Ab tou sirf standard deviation rah gaya or sab tou delete kar diye cbse ne
