There is a special place for you in heaven for making a pot roast recipe that a beginner like me can actually understand. Thank you!! I'm saving this and making it this weekend. Much appreciated.
@@Jakecooks I am 55 years old and I'm literally just teaching myself how to cook as of a year ago. So I don't know how to do a lot of the basics and so many recipes have too many ingredients to make them too hard and I wanted to learn how to do this. So this I can handle and I really appreciate it.
@@consumerdebtchitchat Never too late to learn. I appreciate the feedback as well since it helps me improve and focus more where it matters. I like the fancy stuff with all of the ingrediants but most days I want simple and fast because life is too busy.
Just came back here to thank you. I always wanted a pot roast and this video made me believe I could do it. I did it today and it was fantastic!!!! Wonderful flavor. Patience being the main ingredient. Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching, this is the first one I have ever purchased. I had a small campfire one years ago but that was all. Having the ceramic is nice as well.
Even though I'm 55, until a year ago I had no idea a Dutch oven was a type of pot. I thought it was an oven made by the Dutch. And so many recipes require a dutch oven I always ignored them because I figured I didn't own such an oven. This is why basic cooking channels like this are so helpful because what seems common sense to someone who understands cooking is not to someone who has no idea and I had no idea. I never cooked. I wish more channels would do recipes this simply.
Living in a wide body camper van, I just received my 2.4qt enameled cast iron dutch oven. I have a 2 burner gas cooktop and an induction backup burner. It wasn’t manufactured with an oven. Thank you for your stove top pot roast recipe. I love a good beef, or pork, roast. Finding cast iron recipes without using an oven has been challenging!
Love the video I've been looking for stovetop recipes Ill get flack i know i also know about editing did you either clean the board. or at least flip it to prevent cross contamination when putting the cooked back on the board . Let me get my helmet 🪖
I will never use a board without it being cleaned and sanitized and I will do that between editing especially for something that cooked for hours. Most of the time I use different boards for everything and when not showing I use color coded ones often.
Wow!! I’ve always wondered how Americans do pot roast! Looks awesome! Thanks!❤🇦🇺❤️

Great recipe ..
This is my boy! Cheap meat and amazon basic dutch oven (just like the one I have) lets do this!
It is a great dutch oven for the price, I am still using it today. I still prefer it over my instant pot when it comes to a lot of dishes.
