It says someone may not remain within 25 feet of an emergency responder with the intent to harass, interfere etc after the responder requests them to stay 25' back. There has to be intent, and the harassment or interference must be real; not just a person's presence alone. This law will crumble like the one in Arizona did! God Bless Jeff Gray!
9 under DeSantis and 300 under Pritzker. Clear difference.
The real problem is when there's no tape up. Police haven't been realistic with. Cameras in the public space.
We have the right to watch our first responders in the course of their duties. ITS IN THE CONSTITUTION AND THIS LAW WILL BE KICKED IN NO TIME AT ALL.
The police don’t want you to video their crookedness. Video is not obstruction.
why not a fully fair law we have right to film police and too often there ego/anger get to them expecally when there doing wrom and violate the persons 1a right so the bill should have penalties when cops wrongly atacks the person recirding. as far as the tape ,thats there for reason but thers been videos of angry cops moving the tape way further just so they dont get videoed. remember they conviently mute or shut off there body cams and dont get punished for it
Only fatherless criminals say that.
The SCOTUS has ruled 10’ is a safe distance.
This is Florida being transparent.
This will quickly be ruled unconstitutional.
Criminals hate cameras (cops)
Are police capable of doing anything that does not make them garbage?
Wrong by federal law and the Constitution interference in an obstruction is a physical action
Nobody tries to get into crime scene
A Three week hold on elderlys money will devestate some who barely get by. Their bills don't wait. The ban on kids to stay off social media should be made permanent. Only pedophiles and groomers wouldn't like losen their access to your children.
Welcome to the FREE STATE OF FLORIDA!
THEY ARE NOT "LAWS" THEY ARE CODES...A LAW IS IMMUTABLE...CODES HAVE REMEDY...There are no judges in the United States...
There are no Judicial courts in America and there has not been since 1789. Judges do not enforce Statutes and Codes. Executive Administrators enforce Statutes and Codes. (FRC v. GE 281 US 464, Keller v. PE 261 US 428, 1 Stat. 138-178)
They did not mention you can only record the police if your 25 feet.
More power for the government less for us the free people who are not so free.
25' is about two car length... Even standing back cops will still start pushing their weight around. The crime scene tape is not in the law books.
Florida is a law and order state
It has always been illegal to cross an area tapped off as a crime scene.
This will not stand up in court, I can’t wait to tell a tyrant to stay back 25ft for my protection, fn tyrants crying about there safety when they carry weapons, this is unconstitutional
There is a reason cops dont want people recording their activities. We all know why that is. What an incredibly bad law.
Any new laws to protect children from Matt Gaetz?
@darkmark-d4fI know cuz you have matt gaetz filling those roles looking for his next victims.
Joe and Kamala gave away plenty to pervs. Why you worried about Matt?
Public servants cannot REGULATE HOW THE PUBLIC INTERACTS WITH OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS, INCLUDING FIRST RESPONDERS...
#UNCONSTITUTIONAL
What if the crime is the adult or elderly person isnt unable to care/vulnerable but just simply a victim of crime?
Not a problem in most civilized States, Florida is always a problem no matter what the problem.
Sounds like they're trying to limit police video recording 😮
Within 25' and is "harassing or threatening" a 1st res and doesn't move after given a warning. . That's reasonable. The officer also talked about crossing crime scene tape. That's also ridiculously reasonable. So can you stand quietly within 25' and video record, if there's no crime scene tape?
The tape will go up even when there is no crime scene, other than the scene where the cops are committing the crime. Anytime the cops know they are not following the constitution they will declare a crime scene zone. Florida law enforcement hates the constitution and will do everything they can to get around it. Whoever controls the violence and exerts it the most has control of the people. Right now your government uses the cops for that purpose. Defying an unlawful order will result in the police using violence against you to keep their control of you. Prove me wrong.
Its reasonable until its you and your accidentally 24.9 feet away and the cop tackles you and puts you in jail. 😂
@GoonyMclinux if you harass or threaten a cop at 24.9' or even 50' you're probably in trouble. I think everyone agrees on the rules as stated. It's out of control cops we're talking about, not so much the laws on crossing crime scene tape etc... Whatever you do don't pull out your water pistols. It's not specifically written in the rules that water guns are illegal, but it's highly frowned upon after harassing and threatening a few cops. Legally you may be allowed to draw you water gun but they would be legally allowed to mistake it for a weapon.
@@rogerclark3 They will use the law wrong as usual and it will be tossed out by the courts like other states. Please don't copsplain away the disadvantages because everyone already knows its going to happen like it always does.
25’ is not bad. All cameras have zoom function. Would you walk into an emergency room surgery area while a doctor is performing life saving surgery? No. So why would you not stay out of the way of law enforcement doing their job? Again, zoom lenses on cameras. Stay out of the way and don’t make it about yourself.
The Arizona Law that prohibited filming police within eight feet was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge in July 2023
So the 25 Foot Law will also be ruled unconstitutional
You gotta be able to pick up audio
Most Auditors don’t physically obstruct the Officers their intentions are just to record
SB 184 makes it illegal after you have been verbally warned to approach a first responder or remain within 25 feet while the responder is performing a legal duty with the intent to:
Block or interfere with their ability to perform the duty
Threaten the first responders with physical harm
Harass the first responder
Violations will be a second-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to 60 days in jail.
So simply just standing 10 feet back just recording while saying nothing shouldn’t be an issue but we know they will still arrest you for recording them
That 25 feet will up to the interpretation of the cops. Soon 100 feet, 200 feet will be the new 25 feet.
cant hear what's being said
@ get a better microphone
@ it’s always clowns choice, that’s why we argue in court and not on the street.
