Is this getting a western release? I loved Blind Prince and Liar Princes but I thought it needed more so I definitely want to see more from the same team.
I get the feeling that... That's the case, yeah. But we shall see~ . . There could be a prophecy about the child being a hero that slays the demon lord (dragon). The dragon knows it, but still loves the little fluff (who most likely doesn't know their parent-dragon-figure is said demon lord)
Her adopter daughter... Yuu (the kid (Yuu is her name)) is a girl. I know enough japanese to be able to read her saying "watashi" and that is a way to say "I" exclusive to female. There is other 2 way in japanese to say "I" which are "boku" usually used by male but also used by a few manly female, and "ore" exclusive for male. Not to mention that she is really cute.

No idea what game this is but I want it! :o It kinda feels like the kid is going on a imaginary adventure in the idea he has a pot for a crown and a stick for a sword. And when he cast magic it's just the dragon putting a breath effect on the stick. Seems very adorable but also feels like it will have a lightly dark twist.
Roughly translated (since this is on my phone.) There once was a girl in a magical beast kingdom named Yuu with the dragon king. To become like her father who was a hero she goes forth on adventures helping those in need. The dragon king worried follows in the shadows and helps (along with intros to others). After her adventures she goes home to the dragon king. As the dragon king tells her a bed time story of her father defeating the demon king the girl responds that she will become like her father. As she drifts off to sleep the dragon king replies "Yuu will definitely become a hero. So you must become strong and defeat the evil beast. Because this is a story of when you will have to defeat me...." So after watching the trailer again I have to edit. Yuu is actually a girl not a boy.
that last silhoutte with Yuu holding an actual sword with the Dragon king looks like it is weaken and on the ground. I don't want that to happen. I don't want FEELS

Oh, I loved "The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince" so much! And that wasn't even my kind of gameplay, this look a lot more the kind of gameplay I enjoy, so I can't wait for this to be avaible in Europe +w+
I don't know about the PS4, but the Switch is Region Free. As long as an English port happens, regardless of where it was released, you can import and play it.
From their conversation at the end. It seems Yuu (the hero) believes that her father (the dragon king) is actually the hero in the stories he tells her. So the story could possibly be that the dragon king is aware that Yuu is supposed to slay him one day. But doesn't tell her that she will have to slay him one day otherwise it will hinder her quest as the hero. It also may be why the dragon king is seen to be in the background and not with Yuu. One of the party members is even the human country's princess too (her name is Flora). So I think the dragon king has to hide himself when he helps out Yuu in battles and her journey. He can't show himself to others because they would know he's the evil king. Yuu also returns to the cave they live in at the end of the day, so no one sees the dragon king except for her. Here's a small translation of the conversation Yuu and her father has at the end of the video. 「わたしねパパみたいなりっぱな勇者になる！」 Yuu: "You know, I'll become a splendid hero just like papa!" 「あぁ。。。。。。ゆうはきっとなれるよ」 Dragon King: "Ah..... surely you will Yuu." (note: for anyone confused the player's character is in fact a girl. Since the captions did say 女の子 (Onnanoko) which is girl in japanese. She also calls the dragon her papa (パパ) during their conversation at 3:08 So he is her father/father figure.) (edit: for some reason youtube put giant spaces instead of single spaces)

過去作「と」比べて全体的に割とみんなが幸せになるお話だった
ゆうがぐう聖人の優しい子すぎる…あとかわいすぎる
あと歴代主人公最強枠かもしれない
でも鬱展開になるといつもの平和さが際立ってだいぶメンタル削られる…
結局いつも通り神作でした！うーん最高
普通の人間の女の子を数回噛みつかないと倒せない今作の尻尾付きたぬき
人の姿に化けてるとはいえ狼の怪物を一撃で葬れる前作の尻尾なしたぬき

完全に妄想入るんだが勇者がドラゴンに自分の娘を育てさせてるのは解ってるんだが実は娘を育てて貰う代償にドラゴンに勇者の人格や気持ちを移す事が条件になってたらなおの事ラストに近づくと共にワクワクとメンタルブレイクが同時に襲ってきそうで。。。涙腺崩壊待った無しで破壊力抜群なんだけどなぁ。
