They where sunnis 🤣. The people favored abu bakr and umar over imam ali ASWS however they favored imam ali ASWS over uthman, but still they where sunnis cuz they favored abu bakr and umar over imam ali ASWS.
it's funny how some sunnis still have the audacity to say Shia ran away from Kufa, when it was their leaders and their people who slaughtered them chased them across the arabian peninsula just to chop all of their heads, some shias did back down due to fear of their lives and that can't be ignored but the true Shia stood by Imam Hussein and died fighting for him, later those Shia that didn't take part reveled what took place in Kufa with Muslim bin Aqeel and the people, which lead to the 'sunnis' realising something was really wrong in their idea of Caliphate...Most Shia did abandone Imam Hussein and did taqqiya to hide as sunnis at that time and imam hussein still didn't blame them he knew what was truly at play, while the rest of the Shia stood by him until the end. All sunnis of that time fought against Imam Hussein and sided Yazid and Muawiya as well as the first 3, they were genuinely lost thinking whole heartedly that they must obey whatever their caiph says due to the hadith the previous caliphs created. History is unveiling itself everyday and everyday more truth is coming to shine light of the events that took place right after the passing of our beloved prophet s.a.w. Just read the covenants of the prophet to the christians, Jews and Monks and compare it to the rule of the first 3, you'll slowly realise we have been brainwashed heavily bya one sided story for many centuries due to the previous muslim empires...
