I agree I don’t wear anything symbolic and my parents never wore anything as well , our family worships the lord Jesus Christ not the world , i gave away my worldly things when I sought my salvation , never looked back or even miss it , thank you Jesus

@@antualove7984 yes they married in church , Pentecost, married as Christian , and they still together , a family the prays together stays together , we worship Jesus Christ , our Father ,by the way they don’t wear any jewelry, no wedding bands. , the flesh is weak , the spirit is willing, this why we pray , we fight temptation every day ,
I have seen couples now using diy rings they make for each other from scrap woods. They look nice.

Let's compare how God look at precious metals: #1 he created gold, silver, diamond, ...#2 mostly all the furniture in the old testament tabernacle were overlaid with gold, the ephod was made of gold and precious stones that flicker when God spoke concerning important matters, same with King Solomon temple...gold everywhere. So we see that God doesn't hate gold but how it is used. We say "good luck" it's not in the bible, do God condemn you for that use..no for he knows you are is his learning curve, Jesus was not a white skinned figure, yet the Messiah is depicted as such ...GOD LOOKEDTH AT THE HEART NOT THE OUTER APPEARANCE!

I’ve been to christian weddings where each one gave a bible, not a ring. I’ve been married 34 years and we stopped wearing wedding rings around 30 years now. Your public wedding and wedding license should be good enough to prove your married.

One story I can remember from this is the story of Israelites freed from the Pharaoh of Egypt. When Moses was in the mountain with God (writing 10 commandments), Aaron and other Israelites made a golden calf out of jewelries and golds. To make it short, God was angry and they all wore off their jewelries.
This is also my conviction just this month and it was difficult but I don't want to disobey Father so I followed Him in a simple mind.

Neither one of you have ever read the bible before, and I noticed it. Like that goofy person talking about modest foot wear, there is no such thing, nowhere in the bible does God tell you it's a sin to wear certain pairs of shoes, you two are false prophets!
I appreciated that you mentioned to have the Holy Spirit lead a person. Everyone is in different spiritual ages so it’s important to teach people to be lead by the Spirit if not, people will always be following someone else besides the Lord.

I tend to agree, jewelry can be the same as Idols, God tells us not to worship or bow to Idols, all of our self desires of possessions of objects is the same thing..

HELLo my brother in christ jesus,may the grace and mercy from god open our innermost eye to understand his words . not only in our own terms but through the grace . subject to your lesson concerning wearinga a wedding rings ,my question is , you said you have a ristwatch which you are using for yourself to obseredtime. which of couse you ware on your body, question what is the different between waring a the wedding ring and waring a ristwatch, secondly does wedding rings not speak out in the book of 1 conrithians 13 4 as exchange of love kindness gestures from couple, so help me out where does it stated in the bible that our lord jesus christ ware a ristwatch or any of the disciples. wedding ring is a simbo of identificaton for a merried woman,, is appreciating gift from both couples as stated in the book of 1 corithians as love and kindness gesture from the couples.
Hello there, is a good question you have asked, but first of all, the true history of wedding rings are not to be gifts from the two spouse to each other, the reason why the pagans brought about weddings rings was to be a sign of marriage between the couple. Marriage is holy and therefore it was GOD who instituted it, we need not to accept pagan symbols to consummate marriage.
Concerning wrist watches, if you have been inspired or the HOLY SPIRIT has spoken to you that it is not appropriate to wear wrist watch, you can also share it with us and let us know the reasons why GOD may not accept it.
GOD reveals HIS truth to man all the time, but until you get the truth, we can’t condemn one truth ( it is not godly to wear wedding rings), because we think it is the same as wrist watch.
Actually wearing of a material is not the problem with GOD, but the source of the material, our motive of the material and the impression it creates in the minds of others, these are the reasons why the HOLY SPIRIT forbids us not to go for most things of this world.
Adam and Eve clothed themselves with fig leaves, though they had good intentions of covering their nakedness, the sources of that knowledge ( to chose that material ) was not from GOD, so when GOD came to them, HE had to take the fig leaves off and cloth them with coat of skin.
We must let go of “self” ( what we think is right ) and allow the HOLY SPIRIT to define righteousness for us.

Marriage is holy, so a married couple should live holy lives. The best symbol for a married couple is good behaviour and holy lifestyle. Wedding ring is NOT a sign of holy marriage. How many married couples with rings on their fingers are in adulterers lifestyle?.

Obviously if you embellish your flesh with accessories you will simply waste your money trying to look cool... but it only makes you look like a poser... I don't wear a wedding ring to look cool ... I wear a ring with a cross and peace leaves to remind me that : I'm really married to Jesus...and someone down here is counting on me to be faithful to them as well... We are all posers down here ... What Jesus has taught me over the years that we must make Him our first Husband, because without knowing Him and living how it is that is pleasing to Him we are in rebellion.
Absolutely nothing is needed from outside to enhance our lives
Also we do not celebrate any occasions of any type keeping our hearts pure and set on eternity with Him
We came into this world with nothing yet we have spent a lifetime accumulating much stuff and doing things that are not of our God Almighty ways.
Having what we need, food, shelter, heat, water, clothes its then we must be content.
God is not pleased with how so many have left His Teachings and made up there own laws so as to please what they themselves desire.
