Thanks for making and posting the video. I had one like it back in1967-68, but with a slightly different color - Nassau Blue. The quick shot of the USMC badge on the grill was a bonus since I was in the USMC, stationed at MCAS - Beaufort, S.C. during the time I owned it. A great memory triggered by your video.

I got a red w/red '64 Impala SS coupe that had the same engine & transmission as this gorgeous '62 convertible. Its original 250-horse 327 was looking tired. So I swapped out that motor for a 330-horse remanufactured 327. I wanted to give it more muscle-car performance, so I dropped in a 300+ horse 327. And I plan on changing its 3.08 rear end for a 3.36 plus a limited slip posi. Everything else is staying all original. It's factory power steering unit is going to get a steering box replacement because it need it. And the original manual drum brakes have all been re-done and are in good shape. Also the original Powerglide is going to stay. The Muncie 4-speed stick-shift is the only tranny that I'd care to swap out the Powerglide for. I like to drive mine fast once in a while. But most of the time I just go the posted speed limits in it.
