Drew had potential. But the Broncos organization was in such disarray at the time. They refused develop him, let alone give him a head coach that believed in him. A stark contrast to what is going on now with Nix and Payton.
There’s nothing like a fresh start in 🏈 . Welcome to the Fresh start Seahawks why NOT you ? I think your going to do just fine you remind me of Matt Hasselbeck who struggled for 2 years in Greenbay learning and then 10 years with the Seahawks.
@I Am Hubert I think Wilson will be great with Payton as Headcoach, but I still wish we could've kept Lock from that trade. I love my Broncos, but we _really_ seem to struggle with properly developing a QB. Jay Cutler, Tim Tebow, Paxton Lynch, and now Drew Lock. I love Wilson, but I really hope after he retires, we stop this trade-and-pray bullshit we've been doing and just draft and develop a damn QB already. Hopefully Stidham stays as backup throughout the Wilson era and gets the starting position afterwards and kicks ass; with Payton at the helm, I really can't see the trend of not developing their QBs continuing.
@I Am Hubert I was super stoked that we got Wilson, and in my opinion, even though last season was rough I think things will work out. We've got, despite last season's performance, an elite quarterback, maybe even HOFer, a HOFer coach and despite giving up draft picks for the next billion years we still got a ton of new weapons from free agency or trades, including top linemen to protect Wilson. That said, only time will really tell and all we can do is wait and hope that it really did work out in the end. I agree with you on that last bit, though; I hope Lock gets a chance to actually play in Seattle and wasn't just some, "Hey gimme that," for Wilson, and I also hope Stidham is given a _real_ chance to shine after Wilson retires.
Fangio screwed Drew Locks development by firing their first year OC (scangs). Drew struggles learning new offenses and he had a new one every year in Denver. Lock looked his best in Scangs system late in the year, which was a Kyle shanahan type offense. Scangs was rough as OC at first...but he improved as the year went on and (at the time) was working with an extremely raw rookie talent in Lock. Pat Shurmur came in after Scangs firing and ran one of the most dogshit offenses witnessed by man and it took the wind out of Drews sails and ruined his confidence. Unfortunately, this actually happens all the time in the league and is not uncommon. RIP 🐴🐓🔒
Not GP's fault. He inherited him, he didn't draft him. New GMs always want to pick "their guy" when they get the job. Vic and Shurmur are to blame in reality. Thank god we didnt trade up for drew lock
I will forever be test at the Broncos for doing the Russell Wilson thing. Not because it turned out bad.I mean that's part of it... But drew lock did not suck.... The broncos could have kept those picks would have had a lot of money the returning #2 defense..pieces. its just insane the mistakes made since super bowl 50
@@justinkanicki8044i thought the trade made little sense. If seattle wanted a 1st and 2nd rounder and lock I'd say okay lets do it. But they gave up way too much for Russ and especially when Lock nearly beat the Chiefs and he was given poor coaching by Shurmur. After fuqing up the Russ trade, Paton panicked and got Stidham, and because Russ ultimately failed, he panicked again and got Reynolds over Patrick and Troy Franklin. The 2024 draft class looked like Paton trying to deliver us an experience rather than a foundationally solid team.

I think he sits this year behind geno then next year hopefully is our guy
He can make every throw. It would be a mistake for Denver to go away from him

anybody else here after the russell wilson trade? smh
Nope. After the Colts game where Wilson couldn't put up a single TD.

Drew Lock to NE Patriot to be their new QB!!!
Bring him back
