As a former competitive swimmer I’m obligated to love this show. Also the animation of how the characters move when swimming is incredibly accurate to how swimmers move. I was particularly impressed by the backstroke starts and dolphin kicking in the first opening.
As competitive swimmer as well I love the front crawl and how it resembles it in real life I am sprint swimmer and all fast pace swimming really pumps me up… and once before a race I actually listen to free! Op 1 to pump me up

Free is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, anime wise and more! Makes me want to rewatch all three seasons and the movies and specials just to enjoy these beautiful bois and the nostalgia. I hope in my heart that Kyoto Animation recovers and does well.
