Hi Chris I really appreciate your channel. I know it is January but there has to be other fish swimming in the bay that will bite. Spotted Bay Bass are low-hanging fruit and a given, easy to catch when fishing the bay. I am subscribed and will continue to watch your videos but just asking you to rise above the mediocracy of Spotted Bay Bass. Thanks again man for getting out there.
Thanks for watching. Your support is much appreciated. Is there any type of fish in particular that you’d like to see? I’m always looking to try new things. Cheers!

Awesome job Chris. It was great to see you out there. Thanks so much for the shout out to Stellar Baits. I’m still working on my video for that day. Thanks also for showing the gulp minnow up close. That’s the first time I’ve gotten a good visual on it. Always great to fish with you. ⛏️ ⛏️ 🕺🏼 ⛏️ ⛏️ 🦨 🩸 🩸 🩸🔥👍🏻💪🏻🤙🏻
Any time! I was very happy to run into and chat. If you ever have bait questions feel free to reach out. I hope you did well out there and I look forward to watching your video. Cheers!
@ I always have questions but you answered one of them. I want to do more than just fish so gonna get back to bait making videos and some of the most asked questions in bait making. I may just start with a color match of that gulp minnow.
Rain out there Shure was crazy and it blew through fast. Nice to see you out there Sunday. Any tips for what to get for smaller soft plastics and jig head sizes? I got 9 spotties that day using a 1/4 oz and 2/4 oz head with a 4 inch soft plastic. Look forward to seeing you out there again! -Landon
Hey Landon great to see you out there as well. I put links in the description for both the soft baits and the jig heads in the description. These are the exact baits I was using. Feel free to email me for more info if you like.
Thanks for watching and reaching out. I personally like flouro and mono the best. I’m not really a braid guy. The flouro I’ve been using lately is Strike King Contra. The mono I usually use is Maxima. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.
Another great video Chris, thanks for sharing. Quail season wrapped up so its time to get the boat ready to roll. I used to crush them by north island on a 1/8oz jighead with the little gulp shrimps, kinda like you what you are doing......popping it above the grass.
Thanks for checking it out. For sure! Here’s the link. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers! Outcast Super Fat Cat with Robotic Thrusters! th-cam.com/video/FsmDx9C8-s4/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for watching. I love the Calcuttas! That are and always have been amazing reels. If there is anything negative it is that they get really cold on cold days since they’re made of metal. Cheers!
Thanks! I do prefer fishing the incoming medium height tides in the early morning if I have my preference but have caught them in all different tides. I just like the morning on the bays best since the water is calm and less boats. I guess I’m just a morning person.
I totally agree. When I got that jacket I was so excited to put it to the test. This is the first jacket that I didn’t have a drop down my sleeves all day. I’ve now tried lots of their stuff and I’m impressed across the board.
When I dropped down the size of the bait I also dropped the weight of my jig to the lightest that the surge/tide will allow it to sink. It won’t penetrate deep into the grass as much and won’t hang up as much. I hope that helps for the future. Cheers!
Nice job. Always enjoy watching your videos.
Much appreciated, thanks for watching!
Always getting on em Chris well done man! been a bit tough out there lately!🥶❄️
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I was happy to find the fish and hopefully it can help others do the same. Cheers!

I’ll do my best to make that happen! Cheers! Thanks for the input. Yellows may be tough in a float tube, but I’ll give it a go.
I am convinced we fish a different ocean. Ahahaha. Great job Chris.
I was there with him but somehow I agree with you lol 😆
Ha! That’s funny. Thanks for watching and reaching out. See you soon!
Nice session, I always enjoy watching you catch, and taking some notes!

So many different styles Chris, what do you find is the best line for fishing the bay?

@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman thanks Chris.

Absolutely! It’s the way to go. Thanks for watching.

Awesome video! You make it look easy
Thanks for watching. I just want to catch fish and share what I know.
Great videos my friend, I will try to head out this weekend.
Thank you very much. I hope you do well.
Nice Chris! Thanks for sharing your techniques. Bite was good last weekend on the big bay.
My pleasure to share. I'm glad you're having some success out there. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
Awesome video bud, I was wondering if you had a video where you go over the tube set up that I may have missed.
Thanks!

Having grown up fishing Reds and Specs in Louisiana, the first time I hooked up on a spottie I was surprised how scrappy they are.
Yeah, they're fun to fight for sure! For their size they fight incredibly well. A definite never say die attitude. Thanks for watching!
I was on the other side of NAB Sat and we never got a bite. Wind got ugly. Did see that the bay is full of small bait.
Absolutely lots of bait! It’s been that way for a while. That’s why I dropped down the size of my bait. I
how is the calcutta for twitching and moving the rod? is the round reel design annoying to use in any way?
Thanks for watching. I love the Calcuttas! That are and always have been amazing reels. If there is anything negative it is that they get really cold on cold days since they’re made of metal. Cheers!
Awesome video. Do you target specific tides for that area?
Thanks! I do prefer fishing the incoming medium height tides in the early morning if I have my preference but have caught them in all different tides. I just like the morning on the bays best since the water is calm and less boats. I guess I’m just a morning person.
The Paramount gear is very reasonably priced. Certainly compared to all the other money we pump in to this hobby.

How the heck are you not getting a jig full of grass? I almost always go with a dropshot and rig weedless but don't see your level of success.
When I dropped down the size of the bait I also dropped the weight of my jig to the lightest that the surge/tide will allow it to sink. It won’t penetrate deep into the grass as much and won’t hang up as much. I hope that helps for the future. Cheers!
