I absolutely love this game. I also love and laugh at your humor. Too funny. Try running in circles and hit croc from behind.

You probably know by now but planting tree and fruit seed is, dig a hole, have item on hot bar, press "Q" to drop it in hole and cover it. Don't know on controler but look at key bindings in options.

I love this game! I played it when it came out and put 300 hours in it. Crazy! Love it!

It's got a very mellow start but I can tell there's a lot more depth than I have any idea about so far!

Oh my goodness, you've started a Dinkum series! I've had the game wishlisted for years before release but hold off on it because I've become a little wary of early access games. Now that it was on sale this weekend on Steam I was thinking about buying it anyway and knowing I have a Let's Play series to look forward to sealed the deal. I'm hoping for a new Staxel kinda feel as that has, beside Stardew, been my go-to chill game.

I understand your Early Access wariness, I feel the same way now! So far Dinkum has a fair amount of depth to it, and keeps surprising me. I think the development is quite far along so hopefully this playthrough gives a decent idea of where the game stands. I've been enjoying it a lot!

You can put a fence along the water to keep the crock out. Although, cooked crock meat is a good HP restorative plus it increases the amount of HP. It is just nice to keep them out while working and deal with them when you want.

That's a good idea - I like the location but the crocs are a little too curious!

So a flake is the meat the shark drops when you kill it, I did not know that either.
Some tools you can only get from the people who sell them, so watch out for those campsite visitors.
And really the trapping can bring in big money.

Oh that makes sense (like flake of tuna), thank you! Good to know about the trapping, I've got my work cut out for me by the looks at that crafting table.

I love the tenacity of those critters .. took you awhile to kill it but you got the job done eventually. You can also use your weapons to pop those barrels. Keep up the good work and have fun exploring. :)

I like that it was suitably tough to beat the critter - good to know about using weapons on the barrels, I'm a few episodes ahead still but will remember that thanks!

Cooked flake is cooked shark meat. Can only fish shark with 3rd level rod of iron.

20:34 “cooked flake? Is that a type of butterfly? Please tell me it’s a type of butterfly…”
    Well…. Not exactly 😂
    Who’s gonna tell em?😂 🦈

There is a lot of learning with this series so far!

Oh 100%!! I just thought that was HILARIOUS because the reality couldn’t have been further from a butterfly! Your humor is great😂 I find it even funnier those who have that dead pan humor like you do instead of the chaotic eccentric type. Both are great don’t get me wrong! But you’re too funny, some stuff you say is good 😂 I just found your channel through your Dinkum series and I’m binging the Dinkum series then I’ll be sure to do the same with the other let’s plays you have!!

I’ll tell you what, “flake” is what Aussies call (baby) shark meat.

      I wouldn't have guessed that!

@@hodgepodge I’ve no idea how you could have known. I remembered from someone else’s gameplay that it was some sort of fish, but had to use Google myself.
