Well I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.
Diversifying your portfolio is crucial. Good stocks are a good starting point, but you should diversify your risk with a variety of assets,With the help of the an investment advisor, I diversified my 62K portfolio across many markets and in a matter of months, I was able to produce over 356K in net profit from high dividend yield equities, bonds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Vivian Carol Gioia, advanced lady in her 40s and professional and licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
My advice is always to keep the majority in ETFs that cover multiple sectors. Then have a couple stocks, as a small percentage, picked out that you feel personally attached to or interested in. That way you can mitigate a lot of the risk but also have a personal touch to your portfolio. I feel this mitigates some of the emotional downsides or disinterest people have with investing. Also helps with the urge to constantly buy/sell with fluxes in the market. Grateful i have an adviser at this point. major Thanks to Rita Wildrin Mora.

@@socialmedianetwork5754 Lol you are so right. I wonder how much do these people pay to have all of these fake accounts created to say the same thing over and over in the comments section under different videos.

Passive income is key. The key to wealth is Cash Flow. So many people chase money, but the wise know cash flow is king. Great Video Joshua, I appreciate someone talking similar to my thoughts.
Very well done, this is the exact explanation and instructions I needed, in depth and too the point thank you for taking the time im very appreciative.
I started my own dividend portfolio building about 8 years ago and not only have generated a solid growing income stream over that time but I have also consistently beaten the market in total returns primarily investing in blue chip stock with just a couple outlying dividend investments. I have also helped quite a few friends do the same thing. I was even an author on the seeking alpha documenting my journey for a period of time. I highly recommend this strategy simply because the goal of requirement is income replacement for which dividends are perfectly suited.
I have been reading/researching and devouring as much info as possible on ETF's. I love your videos! I appreciate how you break it down for the "normal people" out here. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Just stumbled upon this! With a good investment plan that ensures steady incomes without any doubts I am prepared for a well organized retirement. I started investing in stocks and ETFs 3 years ago and so far, I am making a good yield on my dividend.
@STEMCOR like I stated, I've been putting aside money into stocks and ETFs with the assistance of an seasoned-trade analyst, Levi Clemans, who is under a licensed broker. He has been the backbone of my trades. Making a substantial amount of profit, I just renew my investment. Here to reach him.
I know this is not by chance because I’ve seen mentions of his name on some other channels. He must be good at this. You did well, I left him a message already. Hope he can help me as I don’t mind paying a fee.
As I go deeper into the market with Levi’s help, the more my portfolio focused more on income and the preservation of capital. That a higher allocation in less risky securities, that will give me returns. Thanks to him, these securities provide income that I have used to live on without having to touch my savings.
You did very well. Very basic fundamental . Love this. I watched many video, no one explain simple way as you did. When people explain too many mumbo-jumbo, I just turn off.

One key thing is I would invest in ETFs as you mentioned but instead of doing a generic brokerage account I would suggest opening up a Roth IRA. IRAs are tax free however you are taxed with the initial investment. When you take out your earnings over the long haul you won't have to take any taxes out of. I would also invest a major portion in a stock called VTI which covers the entire S&P 500

Thank you for this step by step and all the information you provided. I am new to investing and contemplated on using a financial advisor to help me out. Watching and learning from TH-cam such as yours and doing research on individual stocks has help me feel confidence to invest myself. It’s sad to say I only invested in my 401k and Roth 401K and IRA (which I use as a savings acct) I want to start investing my IRA money and my empty brokerage acct I open with Swab a year ago. I need to invest as I am close to retirement and don’t really want to take my SS money out yet. Im still working and trying to max my annual IRA. Thanks again for popping up on my You Tube. I just subscribe to your channel👍
Well, yes and no. I started buying Pepsi at 18 a share a few decades ago. It is around 160 as we speak and their dividend has grown from 8 cents since ive been in them, to its recent 1.15. Some grow big over time. Perhaps timing is key but love those dividends...This is just one example. Love etfs as well.
Or 1 rhing your can do as a etf dividend investor is find a few growth and value etfs. That still pay a dividend but... they are significantly less on their percentage closer to 1% dividend paid. Because they companies they hold are more growth and value and only pay very small dividends. So your gaining exposure to the growth and value sectors. At the same time still collecting a dividend... even if the dividend does nothing but pay for the expense ratio.
Hi Joshua Thanks for the high quality videos, it is really useful. Concerning the book recommendation, it seems that the same title is linked to several versions. Would you have the author name and publication date to help me reaching those books ? Thanks a lot and please go on !
Thanks for this video. You did a good job of explaining how everything works without using confusing terms. I just started my investment journey and I enjoy soaking up as much information as possible.
Great stuff here man! And almost to 20k subs, you are my inspiration! Great financial knowledge here. Very similar to what I teach my students so thank you!
Well explained step by step. I could have used this yesterday as I bumbled and stumble my way thought it as I made my first trades on Fidelity. I just picked 5 recommended Fidelity no trading fee mutual funds just to get the ball rolling. Speaking of fees and correct me if I'm wrong and maybe I missed it but you may have wanted to add in the video that I believe some ETF's have trading fees while other don't at Fidelity and they all have management fees that vary some more than others. For the small investor a trading fee could be a pretty good wack right from the start. Again correct me if I'm wrong, by no means is this my area of expertise.
@@LD-ts2pv All the ETF's I bought at the time were Fidelity ETF's and I was charged no fee to trade or buy the 5 that I chose. I have since sold all 5 and did make a little over the short time I held them. The whole Russian cluster f*ck has forced me to go extremely conservative meaning I'm very top heavy on one stock and that stock is BRK-B.
@@LD-ts2pv I'll just add that if you have a Fidelity account buying a NON Fidelity anything you can expect to pay a fee. Just like would might with any other broker.
@@USA-freedom Thanks. That's what I thought but Joshua's reply to Trevor Nash seems to indicate that he was not charged any fees. I've asked for clarification.
@@LD-ts2pv To give even more clarification. Buying managed funds Bonds, ETF's and different Funds that are NOT Fidelity could have and more likely will a purchasing fee. Fidelity does have managing fees on everything they manage. Which only makes sense just like all managed Bonds ETF's and Funds do. BUT buying individual stocks come at NO FEE at all with Fidelity. My purchase of individual shares BRK-B came at NO COST to me and will be NO COST when I sell. Also you can buy factional shares of any shock though Fidelity which is real nice. As example would be the 2 Warren Buffett BRK-A @ $14,660 a share or BRK-B @ $383 a share. If you wanted to buy $1000 of one or both, not a problem. My free advise, buy into either Buffett stocks for at least the short. It's been holding it's own far better then most anything else that's NOT an energy stock or energy fund. It's down about the lowest it's been in about a month and a half, you might want to consider buying into it now. Yahoo finance is a good place to go to match and compare stock vs stock(s) or stock vs markets. Check the BRK stocks ageist other stocks/markets YTD and you will see why I believe it a good hold for short and not a bad hold for the long term too. Good Luck.

Wow super helpful!! No need to wonder how…. The best teacher ever walks us through! 😆

Really Really love this video for a beginner like me....just looking where to begin my journey in investing and your videos are really helpful. 👌
Hi Josh I'm really greatful for the reply, but I can't seem to get through to you...I'm really looking forward to it.👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
Good video man this is the first of this kind I’ve watched and I learned a lot thanks
Great video and i love how you break everything down
🙌 🙌
You are doing a great job, thank you for your time
Thank you for the video! I really want to get started but was a little intimidated. Now I won’t be. Thanks for the step by step!
That's what I want to hear! You're welcome Janel 😀

Hi Joshua
Thanks for the high quality videos, it is really useful.
Concerning the book recommendation, it seems that the same title is linked to several versions. Would you have the author name and publication date to help me reaching those books ? Thanks a lot and please go on !
Just made the same exact investment on Robinhood. Let's GO!!!
Thanks for this video. You did a good job of explaining how everything works without using confusing terms. I just started my investment journey and I enjoy soaking up as much information as possible.

Can you clarify if Fidelity charged you to buy a competitor's (SCHD) ETF on Fidelity's platform? Thanks
Good Luck.
Thank you for explaining in such a clear way

Hey Joshua love your videos so simple for us to understand. Im just wondering what you use to calculate the 10 year average return?
Hey thanks so much Mohnish! I’ll typically use the ETF company’s website where they will show you the 1, 3, 5, 10, and lifetime average return. So for SCHD, I just went to the Schwab website to find the 10 year average return. Hope that helps!
